Hulk Hogan ‘will not hesitate to pursue legal options’ over sex tape scandal film – with Ben Affleck ‘keen to play him’ in the movie

Hulk Hogan will not think twice about taking legal action if Ben Affleck and Matt Damon go too far in the making of a new movie about his sex tape scandal, according to a new report.

Earlier this week it emerged that Affleck, 51, and Damon, 53, had acquired a screenplay about Hogan’s infamous legal battle against Gawker, a movie entitled Killing Gawker. Affleck is rumored to be play Hogan in the film.

TMZ reports that Hulk – real name Terry Bollea – has no involvement in the film, has not been in contact with Affleck and Damon about the project, and as of now feels ‘indifferent’ about the project.

But all that could change if Hulk, 70, perceives that his court-approved privacy is violated in the film, with the site saying he will ‘not hesitate’ to look into his legal options should the film overstep his boundaries.

Insiders say Hulk ‘is in a really good place in his life right now.’

Hogan is enjoying the newlywed life, having married his wife Sky Daily last year.

Insiders also point out that Hogan – who recently became baptized – has become spiritual.

Hogan’s other interests involve a new business venture with his beer, in addition to his charitable pursuits with a Tampa based homeless shelter.

The latest update comes several days after Variety reported that Affleck and Damon’s production company, Artists Equity, had acquired a screenplay about Hogan’s infamous legal battle against Gawker.

The publication also reports that Affleck is rumored to portray the pro-wrestling megastar Hogan.

The screenplay was written by Charles Randolph and was based on Ryan Holiday’s 2018 book Conspiracy: Peter Thiel, Hulk Hogan, Gawker And The Anatomy Of Intrigue.

No doubt Affleck and Damon are shooting for another Oscar as Gus Van Sant – who directed Good Will Hunting – is set to direct.

In March 2016, a Pinellas County, Florida jury ordered Gawker to pay $141million in damages for publishing a video of Hulk having sex with Bubba Clem’s wife Heather.

Gawker argued that its footage was newsworthy and protected by the First Amendment.

Silicon Valley billionaire Peter Thiel bankrolled Hogan’s lawsuit against Gawker, raising concerns about the power of the wealthy against the media. Only after Hogan won the jury verdict did Thiel’s role come to light.

Gawker settled with Hulk for $31 million, ending a years-long fight that led to the media company’s bankruptcy, the shutdown of Gawker.com and the sale of Gawker’s other sites to Spanish-language broadcaster Univision.
