Hulk shows off his bulging muscles during intense workout as he begins pre-season training

Brazilian star Hulk has lived up to his name with a series of shots showing the striker’s muscles bursting out of his training shirt. 

The former Porto star is now back in his homeland with Atletico Mineiro, but even at 36-years-old, the striker still looks to be in phenomenal condition. 

In a video and a series of shots posted on the club’s Instagram feed, it shows the Mineiro players in pre-season training, including the muscular image of Hulk – real name Givanildo Vieira de Sousa.

In the clip, Hulk is completing a leg exercise and as he grimaces while lifting the weights, his muscles bulge out of his shirt and his legs show the full extent of their power. 

The video is complemented with a series of shots showing the Brazilian completing his workout and looking in tremendous shape. 

Hulk moved back to Brazil in January 2021, fifteen years after leaving to peruse his footballing career across the globe.

He made his name playing for Porto in the early 2010s before moving to Zenit St Petersburg. The striker has also enjoyed two spells in Japan at either end of his career and moved to Mineiro from Shanghai Port in 2021. 

Since joining Mineiro Hulk has enjoyed a trophy-laden return to Brazilian football. Bagging the Brasileiro Serie A, Copa do Brasil, Supercopa do Brasil and two Campeonato Mineiros.

His form saw him earn a recall to the Brazil squad last year – five years after his last appearance for his country.  

In 114 games for Mineiro Hulk has scored 65 goals, and racked-up 18 assists for the Brazilian side.  

Hulk has enjoyed a successful return to Brazil and won the treble with the club last season
