During his trip to India, Rodrigo followed a relaxing detox plan in a specialised retreat, later claiming the experience changed his life forever.

Rodrigo revealed that he only drank fluids for the two-week duration, during which time he also shot scenes for a cameo in a Bollywood film.

‘It has been a great trip – a combination of work (filming the Bollywood movie) and,’ he told MailOnline. ‘I have been for two weeks only on tea – no solids or alcohol. I have been at a spa getting holistic treatments which have changed my life.

‘This trip has also been very cultural and I shall look forward to returning to India to experience it all over again.’

Rodrigo – who is known for his lifestyle of parties and decadence – also noted: ‘This experience has made me realise that there is so much more to life than drinking champagne and going to parties.

‘I realise that I was living inside a bubble. I’m still going to carry on being the party lover Roddy, but with moderation.’

Rodrigo was rushed to hospital after having overdone his partying during Halloween.

‘After being sent to hospital on my arrival from LA it made me realise that only having plastic surgery and wearing nice expensive outfits isn’t enough. I will detox and meditate more often too, to align my mind, body and soul,’ he said.

Expressing his extreme efforts to shed the pounds, the socialite told MailOnline: ‘Lately I have been feeling that my body is going back to what used to be before plastic surgeries…shapeless and big!’

In his attempt to combat his burden, he revealed: ‘I have taken the decision to remove some my ribs in early January – four of which are floating ribs so can be easily removed.’

He also confessed that he is trying to convince the surgeon to remove two more ribs, which is set to take place in Beverly Hills.

In order to prepare for his grueling procedure, he explained that he is forced to follow a strict gym routine, and is also expected to wear a snug corset around the clock.

With an aim to ‘have a tiny waist’ for his new years resolution, the TV personality will introduce an exclusive fashion line, which is set to include ‘unisex double breasted blazers’.

He added: ‘I have the surgery booked to give me a smaller waist in order, so my blazers will fit me properly.’

Explaining the procedure will move him one step closer to his body goal, he said: ‘God made us perfectly with spare parts in case we need them, and the floating ribs only make me look square.

‘I would like to achieve a classic figure while wearing my suits, and the only way to achieve that is to remove my ribs.’

He also shot scenes for a Bollywood film during his trip, with photos from the set showing him in all his royal regalia, taking on the role of a Danish Prince.

He explained: ‘My trip started first in New Delhi where I filmed for three days. The main reason of my trip to India is the Bollywood movie that I am part of. It is a huge production with lots of people involved, and music and dancing.

‘I play a Danish Prince who is one of the guests at a royal Indian wedding, who is very lavish and flamboyant.

‘I feel very honoured to be given the chance to be part of such an amazing production and I shall look forward to seeing the end material on the big screens next year when the movie is out.’

Admitting the experience had been ‘life-changing’, he said: ‘I have been seen a lot of cultural sights and have met some amazing people.

‘However I have also seen a lot of poverty, which has made me realise that I live in a bubble, and that I never knew what reality is for some people.’
