A quiet country drive turned into an unrequited love story when a huge boar followed a lone motorist for miles down country lanes in Hungary.
Kristof Fischer posted a video of the unusually prolonged encounter with the wild boar on YouTube.
‘I am a passionate fisherman and was visiting one of my favorite spots at Visegrad.

He said: ‘I had just started fishing when I first heard the noise from the bushes. I thought a fellow fishermen was about to arrive but it was a huge wild boar instead!’
‘This is a nice peninsula at the river Danube where locals come quite often for fishing, walking or running.
‘I arrived to the shore around 6pm, thirty minutes before sunset and I was really happy that no other fishermen were around.
‘I had just started fishing when I first heard the noise from the bushes. I thought a fellow fishermen was about to arrive but it was a huge wild boar instead! It was ten meters from me and was quite calm as it walked down to drink,’ he said.
The fisherman then ran back to the car, but the boar followed him.
The boar rubbed its back against the car, making the most of the mobile scratch post, although it looked like it was twerking in time to the music played in the car.

It then cantered after the car, barging blindly through plants and flowers, refusing to be separated from its new metal love

Every mirror you looked in, or window you looked out, the boar seemed to be right there waiting.
