A 15-year-old boy has been assaulted while walking through a shopping centre, with police hunting for a man they would like to speak with following the random attack.
The teenager was with friends in Kawana Shoppingworld on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast on Monday when he was approached by a man he did not know.
It is alleged the man began making threats, telling the boy to move out of the way.

The man then pushed the victim over before slapping him across the face and walking away.
The boy suffered a minor injury to his mouth as a result of the incident.
Police have released vision from inside the shopping centre as part of their investigations.
The man police would like to speak to is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 182cm tall, aged in his 40s or 50s with grey hair and tattoos on arms and leg.
Police are appealing for anyone who may recognise the man or have further information to come forward.
