The Australian husband of Serbian popstar Tanja Savic has rubbished claims he is locked in a bitter custody battle over his two children.
Dusan Jovancevic moved with his seven and nine-year-old boys to his hometown on the Gold Coast, Queensland, as coronavirus travel restrictions were slowly introduced earlier this year.
Serbian gossip columns fanned rumours Mr Jovancevic had acted without his wife’s permission and the move had left her deeply distressed as she stayed behind in Serbia, Herald Sun reported.

Mr Jovancevic said the rumours were completely groundless.
‘They do speculate about a lot of things and scandals,’ he said.
‘It doesn’t really interest me unless Tanja is saying it but people make up stories. This is just a section of her life.’
Ms Savic is a pop-folk singer who catapulted to fame as the runner-up in the country’s singing competition Zvezde Granda in 2004.
Her ensuing albums generated national fame and she has made several appearances on Serbian television ever since.
She married Mr Jovancevic in 2011 and phones her children twice a day while they live with their father in Australia.
