Husband slams wife’s book club outfit on TikTok: Blair and Steven

Husband slams wife’s ‘book club outfit’ and accuses her of lying about where she’s going: ‘Get up and change’

  • Newlyweds Blair and Steven are in an argument about Blair’s book club
  • The husband claims his wife dresses ‘too sexy’ to simply discuss literature

A husband has divided thousands after playfully accusing his wife of lying to him about going to a book club because she looked ‘too good’.

Newlyweds Blair and Steven had been married for three months when they shared a tongue-in-cheek dramatic ‘argument’ about Blair’s choice of clothing.

Steven said he was upset about Blair dressing to the nines – complete with ‘perfect’ eyeshadow and gold hoop earrings – to attend book club with her friends.

The husband jokingly stated that no one needed to ‘dress sexy’ in order to discuss literature and demanded his wife change into sweatpants before leaving the house.

Steven also called one of his wife’s friends to confirm if she was telling the truth about their innocent hobby and asked for photographic evidence of the activity.

Newlyweds Blair and Steven had only been married for three months when they shared a tongue-in-cheek dramatic ‘argument’ about Blair’s choice of clothing

‘I’m mad because my wife is over here lying,’ he said in a now-viral video.

He continued the charade: ‘She’s lying to me –  nobody looks that good to go to book club.’

Blair was seen wearing a frilly green top with soft ruffles framing the front. She had also put makeup on including sparkly eyeshadow and lip gloss.

The wife was insistent that she simply dressed normally and was going to spend an afternoon discussing ‘Crying in H Mart’ with her friends.

‘Your eye makeup is literally perfect right now and you threw on hoop earrings,’ her husband argued. ‘You only wear hoop earrings when you’re getting super sexy.’

‘Is everyone else coming dressed in their best clothes to talk about books? You look too fine right now,’ Steven said.

He added: ‘Do you think I’m stupid? You need to get up and change. You’re putting on sweatpants.’

Steven ended up calling one of Blair’s friends to confirm whether she was actually hosting a book club at her house.

‘Do you mean you’re going to talk about books or is that a code word for something else?’ he demanded.

‘My wife is looking very, very, very, very, beautiful, and she’s got her eye makeup done, she’s wearing great jeans,’ he added. ‘I just don’t imagine that people are dressing like this to go to book club.’

Steven also asked his wife’s friend to take a photo of her with her wedding ring to make sure she isn’t looking at anyone else.

‘Her location will be on so you know I’ll be there and I will be aware,’ he said at the end.

Many found his attitude adorable and offered up innocent explanations.

‘It’s a girl code to dress confident when we’re meeting new women,’ a woman said. ‘We dress nice for each other to make new friends.’

‘I dress like that for my friends, too,’ another said. ‘Why would I put in so much effort for a man who can’t name a single product?’

‘This is adorable, I’m waiting for someone to be this is love with me,’ a third wrote. ‘Possessive men are the best.’

‘He is so cute, I love how much he loves you and is so jealous in a good way,’ added another.
