It’s available as regular petrol, self-charging-hybrid, or 48kWh or 65kWh electric versions with up to 300 miles of range, and can be ordered now, priced from £25,725.

The judges said it was a ‘stand-out’ car.

‘To win a category is an incredible achievement, but to take the overall prize, a car needs that little bit extra,’ they said.

The new five-seater is larger because customers wanted more seat space.
