Juventus midfielder Emre Can has been left ‘shocked and angry’ after being left out of the Juventus Champions League squad by manager Maurizio Sarri.
Speaking at Germany’s training camp ahead of Euro 2020 qualifying, Can said: ‘Last week, the club promised me something else.
‘Yesterday the coach called me and told me in less than a minute that I was not in the squad. I am shocked and angry.’
Emre Can was left out of the Juventus Champions League squad, much to his surprise
Can, who joined Juventus on a free transfer from Liverpool in June 2018, was left out alongside striker Mario Mandzukic.
Captain Georgio Chiellini was another omission due to an anterior cruciate knee ligament injury, which he has had surgery for.
Juventus face Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen and Lokomotive Moscow in Group D.
