EXCLUSIVE ‘I just don’t feel like you love me for me’: Love Island’s Liberty SPLITS from Jake after REMOVING the bracelet he gifted to her while asking her to be his girlfriend
Liberty Poole has split from Jake Cornish after just four weeks – and has removed the bracelet he gifted to her when he asked her to be his girlfriend.
In a Love Island first, the couple, who made their seven-week long relationship official, have decided to go their separate ways ahead of the series finale on Monday.
Cracks began to show after a clip of Jake, 24, confessing to not wanting to ‘rip Liberty’s clothes off’ was aired in the villa, and his fellow Islanders started to doubt his sincerity.
‘I want someone who loves me for me’: Liberty Poole has split from Jake Cornish after just four weeks – and has removed the bracelet he gifted to her when he asked her to be his girlfriend
Tonight’s episode of the ITV2 dating show will see Liberty, 21, tell Jake ‘I just don’t feel like you love me for me and I want someone who loves me for me.’
Jake asks: ‘What are we saying then, are we saying we’ll go our separate ways then?’
During the couple’s emotional conversation, Liberty is seen fiddling with the bracelet Jake gifted to her as a symbol of their relationship, having removed it from her wrist.
In a preview clip, which aired at the end of Wednesday’s show, former Nando’s waitress Liberty was seen sobbing, while sat with Jake discussing their romance.
She said: ‘I don’t think we are right for each other’, after being in a relationship with Jake, who she coupled up with at the beginning of the series, for the last four weeks.

Despite their split, Liberty and Jake will still remain in the villa and have a chance of winning the £50,000 prize fund.
The couple were favourites to win, but their relationship quickly took a turn for the worse after footage was shown of Jake encouraging the boys to pursue connections with the bombshells in Casa Amor.
During a ‘movie night’ set up by producers, the cast were shown a clip of Jake saying: ‘You boys are all single men, none of you have a label on you and I think a label cements that thing, with me it definitely cemented that thing.
‘If I was in your shoes, and wasn’t seeing Lib and that I’d be in here thinking f*** it. If I got something better, I’m going to chat to them and get to know them more, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. If you’re on a lads’ holiday and you’ve not got a girlfriend then you’re doing bits’
Faye Winter, 26, was furious with Jake after knowing he had egged on the boys to be unfaithful, and called him out on his questionable behaviour.
She said: ‘F*** off Jake, are you joking? You’re all like sisters to me… I hope no one treats your f***ing sister like you have treated us there because you’d be f***ing livid Jake.’
