‘I don’t want to talk about it!’ Moment woman who attacked a pensioner at a bus stop is confronted on TV – as her victim speaks out

 A woman who was allegedly filmed attacking an elderly pensioner and throwing her to the ground has been confronted on television.  

Cori Glencross, 23, allegedly assaulted Judith Green, 75, while she was waiting at a bus stop at Market Square Shopping Centre in Geelong, Victoria in April. 

She allegedly banged Ms Green’s walker against a bin, yanked her hair, pulled her to ground and kicked her twice in footage captured by a shocked onlooker.  

Months later, A Current Affair reporter Tineka Everaardt confronted Ms Glencross in the hopes of getting ‘her side of the story’.  

‘I don’t want to speak about,’ Ms Glencross said.

Ms Glencross appeared in Geelong Magistrates Court via video link, following the incident. 

She has been charged with affray, unlawful assault, assault by kicking and committing an indictable offence while out on bail. 

The 23-year-old also faces two additional charges including intentionally causing injury and recklessly causing injury.

‘I just wanted to have a chat to you about what happened that day to get your side of the story,’ Ms Everaardt told Ms Glencross. 

‘Oh, the lady? I don’t want to speak about it,’ she said.  

When Ms Everaardt asked why she wouldn’t open up, she simply responded: ‘Because I just don’t want to speak about it.’ 

Ms Green recalled the frightening incident as she waited at the bus stop. 

‘She picked me up like a doll and tossed me to the ground,’ she told 9News.

‘She was like Hercules. 

‘I’ve got a bruised face and eye and had a hand that was still very bruised.’

In the video, a bystander could be heard saying ‘she’s just an old lady’. 

Ms Glencross allegedly stood over the older lady until a third woman pushed her away. 

Another member of the public was seen offering his hand to the older lady to help her from the ground.    

Ms Glencross represented herself during a bail, where she claimed she was having an epileptic fit at the time and had no control of her body. 

Senior Constable Shannon Thompson told the court that Ms Glencross claimed in her police interview that she was acting in self-defence and that the victim had threatened her with a needle.

A witness to the incident, Caitlyn Brooks, told Daily Mail Australia Ms Glencross told the elderly woman that it was ‘not nice to smile’ before moving toward her.

Snr. Const. Thompson told the court it was an ‘orchestrated and premeditated’.
