I just started dating a man who has a really bizarre habit at home – I can’t tell if it’s a dealbreaker yet

A young man’s preference to wear ‘nothing but jocks’ around the house has come under the microscope after his new partner questioned whether it was ‘a little weird’.

Taking to Reddit, the confused partner – a man in his late 20s, asked if it was normal behaviour or if his lover was simply an ‘outlier’.

He added that his partner has a housemate and clarified he meant boxes, not super-tight briefs.

Hundreds of people responded to the thread with most agreeing the young man’s beau was ‘normal’, and it appeared ‘most men’ prefer to strip down at home.

‘My guy is 31 and if he’s not getting around in the nude, he’s wearing his very breezy boardshorts. If it’s winter he’s getting around in his trackies. He gets out of his work clothes faster than I take off my bra after coming home,’ one man said.

‘My man is 57 and exactly the same lol he eats dinner in the nude half the time,’ said another.

‘Second I’m home, shirt and pants hit the floor. Jocks all the way. Even if I have to walk out the front to the bins, jocks. If the neighbours have an issue they’ve never said anything,’ said another.

And women revealed the items of clothing they were most likely to ditch.

‘Getting that bra the f off after work is 11/10 importance,’ one woman said.

But others were shocked – some even asked how men sit on their furniture if they are naked or just wearing jocks.

‘Pop a towel down and you are good to go,’ one responded.

But the anti-nudist were keen to disagree with every comment.

‘Putting towels everywhere seems like far more trouble than just wearing something, particularly since a towel has to be adjusted every time you move.’

Other people told the OP to consider if the behaviour is a deal breaker and added it could escalate to full-on nudity if they move in together with no housemate.
