I splashed out £10k on a makeover after I became too fat to see my penis

A businessman who was so overweight that he struggled to see his own penis has revealed he’s now feeling more confident than ever after splashing out £10,000 on a makeover.

Andy Mills-Brown, 47, from Harpenden, Hertfordshire, says he ‘stress ate’ to cope with the pressure of his running his entertainment company TAG Live.

The entrepreneur – who hates cooking for himself – admitted he would gorge on takeaways and whole bottles of wine after work which saw his weight creep up to a staggering 17st 8lbs.

However, the businessman got a rude awakening in the shower in October 2016 when he looked down and realised he could no longer see his penis.

This, coupled with his ‘pendulous boobs’, spurred him into booking a £5,000 gastric band procedure at the end of 2016.

Looking back at the day he realised he needed to overhaul his lifestyle, Andy said: ‘I thought ‘oh my God, what’s happened?’

‘That was the moment I thought “things have got to change”.

As Andy didn’t qualify for a gastric band on the NHS, he began looking at private treatments.

He continued: ‘[My appearance] was making me unhappy. I’m an addictive person. I couldn’t get my eating under control for whatever reason.

‘It was stress eating. I love my work, I’m very passionate and engaged in it, eating was my go to’.

Andy says he’s ‘rubbish’ at cooking and knew he wouldn’t be able to lose the weight alone.

As such, he immediately settled for a private gastric band and lost an amazing seven stone 100lbs.

The boss was delighted with the results and marvelled at how much ‘bigger’ his manhood looked.

Following the success of his gastric band, Andy looked into having other procedures to further enhance his slimlined look, including having 26 veneers fitted in Turkey

He also had his scalp tattooed to give the illusion of a freshly shaved head and even spent £4,500 on a hair collection

He said: ‘It was the best thing I ever did for my confidence. It cost me a b***** fortune to change my entire wardrobe but it was perfect for me and I haven’t changed 3lbs up or down since that day.

‘I could see my willy again after the operation, and it looked much bigger. I was like this is marvellous – it was great for my ego. My penis is actually quite well proportioned, I was very happy about that’.

After just six months Andy dropped an incredible seven stone, and now tips the scales at just 10st 7lbs and slips into 32-inch waist trousers.

Following the success of his gastric band, Andy looked into having other procedures to further build his confidence.

Since then, Andy has had 26 veneers, a scalp tattoo and gynecomastia – also known as breast reduction – surgery.

He travelled to Turkey in December 2017 and December 2019 to have the procedures done.

Andy also noticed his hairline receding, so investigated getting hair pieces, before getting a full-blown wig.

He eventually had his scalp tattooed to give the illusion of a freshly shaved head and even spent £4,500 on a hair collection.

He continued: ‘When you have teeth from Turkey, botox, a stick-on wig and tattooed hair, is that about what you look like to the outside world or is that about how that makes you feel?

‘I wear a full man wig a lot. Women have always worn wigs, so why can’t men? Some men have hair pieces, but I have a full wig.

‘I wore hair pieces in 2016, it was just a stick-on piece. You styled it, it looked great and then when I moved to Florida it was too bloody hot.

‘I decided to shave my hair all off then had it tattooed so it just looks like I’ve got a shaved head.

‘I’ve lived two years bald but there were red carpet events that I really wanted hair for.

‘I went to my hair tailor who did my system and I said ‘have you ever done a full wig for a man?’

‘He said “never” and I said I want you to get one. He scoped it all out and did it and it came and I had it fitted and I wear it once every three months.

Still Andy is proud of his new look and couldn’t care much for what people have to say about it.

He said: ‘I guess for me it’s what I want to do and if you don’t like it that’s that.

‘When I shared pictures on Instagram it blew up a little bit because people were like “oh you’re quite brave saying that”.

I replied not really, I’ve just got hair, women have been doing extensions and wigs forever why can’t men just pop hair on one day and not the next?

‘I actively do it all the time and people love it’.

Now he’s committed to having cosmetic work done, Andy says he won’t be slowing down any time soon.

He admits to dyeing his beard to match his wigs, as well as having Botox ‘religiously’, and says the cosmetic upkeep makes him feel ‘authentic and happy’.

He explained:  ‘Doing all this makes me feel authentic and happy. I think half of the problem of someone in the world of entertainment is that you know how to put on a show.

‘Sometimes you put on a show for so long you forget who you really are.

‘So when you can do stuff mentally or physically to yourself that makes you feel happy it makes you get in touch more with the real you.

‘It makes me show up more authentically in my work and also my personal life.

‘I engage with people on a much more holistic level because you’d be so surprised the number of people who talk to me about my gastric band, or want to have one, or weight loss, botox or hair pieces.

‘Those who think it’s frivolous I would say don’t do it. Life is as simple as that.

‘You don’t have to agree with everything but also you don’t have to do it either.

‘It’s a bit like the LGBTQI+ community, just let people live. If you don’t want to do it, don’t do it but also don’t be miserable at people who do want to do it’.
