Meanwhile, speaking in the video, Meghan opens by saying: ‘Random Travel Tips from an airline employee part one. This is going to be how to pick out the best luggage.’

Her first tip is about how to ensure your belongings don’t get unexpectedly damaged.

She says: ‘Number one. Always look for hard sided or waterproof luggage, because you never know what’s going to be be in someone else’s bag, or what’s going to be under the plane, and what can leak on your bag.’

Moving on to her second point, she discusses how you can ensure your suitcase looks as smart as possible for as long as possible.

Meghan says: ‘Number two is get a dark colour. I know I didn’t do that here, and I regret, it but if your bag is going to get stored under the plane especially, it’s going to get scuffed up very quickly. I’ve learned that the hard way.’

When it comes to her third tip, the airline employee discusses her hack for making sure she can traverse airports and other distances with the luggage.

She says: ‘Three is get a bag that has four wheels. The two wheels get really annoying to drag through the airport after a while.’

Meanwhile, her fourth tip is to ‘look for a bag that’s expandable, because you never know what you’re going to pick up on a trip and need to fit your suitcase’.

Among her five tips, which also included picking a case that is expandable, Meghan (pictured) shared what she described as a 'hot take', saying that buying the priciest case is unnecessary

Moving onto her fifth and final point, Meghan shares what she describes as a ‘hot take’.

She explains: ‘Five. Hot take, but you don’t need the most expensive luggage.’

Numerous viewers took to the comments section of the video to share their own preferences when it comes to luggage.

Some agreed with the airline employee’s points, whereas others shared divergent perspectives or advice.
