Ian Huntley admits Soham killings in secret prison tapes

Child killer Ian Huntley has grovelled over the murders of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in series of prison cell recordings in which he finally admits to the killings.

In the tapes, Huntley can be heard saying ‘I think about them every day’, marking the first time in ten years the Soham monster has broken his silence on the crimes.

He also apologised for the pain he caused through his killings, which rocked the nation at the time.

His voice cracks with emotion on the tape — the first time the killer has been heard speaking in more than a decade.

In the tapes, obtained by The Sun, Huntley says: ‘What I will say is that I am so terribly, terribly sorry for what I have done. 

‘I know the people of Soham took me into their community, they trusted me, gave me a job and a home, and I betrayed them in the worst possible way.

‘And I am sorry for what I have done, sorry for the pain I have caused to the families and friends of Holly and Jessica, for the pain I have caused my family and friends, and for the pain I have caused the community of Soham.
