Ian Wright reveals bizarre live TV promise if England reach the final of Euro 2024 as Gareth Southgate’s side prepare to get their tournament underway against Serbia

Ian Wright has made a bizarre promise of something he will do if England reach the final of Euro 2024.

Gareth Southgate’s side are widely expected to make a major impact at this summer’s tournament.

England get their campaign underway on Sunday night when they take on Serbia.

Following that, the Three Lions will face Denmark and Slovenia in their remaining group games.

England will be aiming to go one better than Euro 2020, when they were beaten in the final by Italy.  

Wright revealed that he will wear lederhosen if England get to the final. 

Speaking on ITV Sport, Wright said: ‘If England get to the final, I’ll put lederhosen on.’

England, led by Harry Kane, are expected to make a major impact at the tournament

Gareth Southgate’s side will get their Euro 2024 campaign underway against Serbia on Sunday

The final will be held in Berlin on July 14.

Arsenal legend Wright scored nine goals in 33 appearances for England between 1991 and 1998.
