Ice Spice claps back against critics amid weight loss and Ozempic rumors with a SpongeBob SquarePants meme

Ice Spice clapped back at detractors who credited her recent weight loss to the use of medication with help from a beloved character from her childhood.

In response to comments posted on social media online following her attendance at DJ Khaled’s We The Best golf welcome reception in Miami, the 24-year-old singer shared her own reaction to what her fans and detractors have been saying.

Hidden among a series of sexy snaps showcasing her toned down curves, the hitmaker posted an illustration of a bloated Sponge Bob Square Pants with the words ‘nah she mid bro’ written above.

The photo seemed to indicate that those who were critiquing her should perhaps step up their own game where their appearance is concerned.

‘The ice melted,’ wrote one fan after seeing the photo carousel.

‘She got abs now wtf,’ commented another.

The artist, who has been on her Y2K tour, has been sharing shots of her sleeker form on social media, as she documents her travels from stage to stage.

The Barbie World singer has has strongly denied turning to weight loss drugs to trim down.

‘Oh my God, like, what even is Ozempic? What the f**k is that? Genuinely, what is that?’ she queried during a  X Spaces chat in August.

That same month she posted video of her rigorous gym workout writing, ‘we beatin them allegations bae❤️’ next to the clip.

Although the Phat Butt artist has admitted to losing a substantial amount of weight, she claimed it was due to her intense touring schedule and the physical demands of being an active performer on stage.

‘You lazy a** b****es never heard of a gym?’ she added during the chat, attributing much of her weight loss to her new workouts and better nutrition.

‘It’s called the gym. It’s called eating healthy. It’s called being on tour. Like, what the hell? Maybe if I was sitting home all day, it would be easier to stay big,’ she added.

In an interview with Rolling Stone for its July issue, the MTV Music Video Best New Artist Award winner revealed she was focusing on healthy eating to make the most out of her life while she can.

‘It just feels like time is fleeting, so I have to take advantage of the time I do have now while I’m still young, healthy, and everything like that,’ she explained.

‘I was born as a woman and raised as a woman, so I only know this lifestyle, but I could just imagine how easy it is for guys,’ she said.

‘I am very jealous when the men on my team get to sleep an extra five f-ing hours because they don’t have glam.’
