An iconic Hollywood actor has been spotted in regional New South Wales shooting her latest movie.

While she may’ve been one of the most recognisable faces and bodies of the 1990s, it was a different story when Pamela Anderson was spotted shooting scenes for her upcoming film The Place To Be in the coastal town of Port Kembla this week.

The former Baywatch star 57, cut quite the demure figure on set, sporting a new bob haircut – a far cry from her trademark golden flowing locks.

Pamela wore a black silk collared blouse that she paired with a similarly coloured tie.

She also donned high waisted plain black pants and a pair of matching shoes to complete her character’s look.

Pamela accessorised with a black leather handbag and a pair of glasses that only served to make her less recognisable.

The Barbed Wire actress was spotted on set with Australian actor Murray Bartlett.

Sporting a shock of salt and pepper facial hair, the White Lotus star was seen deep in conversation with his co-star, possibly comparing notes about the script.

Also spotted on set was fellow Hollywood icon Ellyn Burstyn, 92, who rugged up with a puffy coat wrapped around her shoulders to protect her from the Port Kembla chill.

The trio looked very much in their element as they took a break between takes on the night-time shoot.

All three were seen happily chatting with each other and crew members as they waited for their moment in front of the camera.

At one point, Pamela and Murray appeared quite taken with a pigeon that was sitting happily in a cage, also apparently waiting for its close-up.

Pamela also seemed to be gelling with Ellen, with the pair spotted warmly embracing between takes.

The film tells the story of an elderly woman who forms a surprising bond with a middle-aged man as they accompany a lost racing pigeon on a cross-country journey home.

Lauded director Kornél Mundruczó is helming the project that will also star Longlegs actor Maika Monroe and Lena Waithe, creator of the Showtime series The Chi.

Pamela recently admitted she now ‘feels so free’ as she opened up about being in this new stage of her career.

The actress, who has two sons, Brandon, 28, and Dylan, 26, admitted she could never have taken on projects like her latest big screen release The Last Show Girl when her children were young.

Speaking to Sky News in the UK, the actress and model explained: ‘I do have a lot to give, so now I just feel so free. I couldn’t have done anything like this when I had kids because my focus was with them.’

‘Now that they’re grown and they’re doing well and they’re thriving, that gives me the opportunity to be able to play in this universe.’

She added: ‘My sons are so protective of me and their goal is just to say: “Mom, we just want you to be able to know that you focused on us as kids and we want you to have the opportunity to shine and to reach your potential as an actress”.’

Since 2019, the mother-of-two has drastically moved away from her signature make-up and pledged to stop wearing it altogether following the devastating loss of a close friend.

Pamela revealed the loss of her close friend Alexis Vogel, who was also her long-time make-up artist, is what sparked her to stop wearing make-up entirely.

Speaking to People Magazine, she explained: ‘Make-up has a time and a place. I just feel in my personal life, it just didn’t really make sense.’

The actress has also been busy in London promoting her new drama movie, which has seen her nominated for her first ever Golden Globe.

She was up for Best Actress in a Drama for her portrayal of a Las Vegas showgirl but was ultimately beaten to the award by Fernanda Torres, who won for I’m Still Here.
