Iggy Azalea has hit back at trolls for ‘celebrating’ rapper XXXTentacion’s death, in an impassioned Instagram post.
The Australian rapper, 28, said she was ‘genuinely saddened’ after the 20-year-old musician was shot and killed in Miami on Monday afternoon.
Iggy added that she wasn’t ‘overlooking’ the fact that XXX was awaiting trial on charges of domestic violence against his pregnant girlfriend.

‘I’m not overlooking any of the things women accused him of doing,’ she began in a post shared to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday.
‘But I’m genuinely saddened by XXXTentacion’s passing because it was so unnecessary. We need to think more about the things we give value to.’
She added: ‘To see people celebrating his death is just another example of that ‘troll’ mentality that’s rewarded and encouraged to our own detriment.
‘The things we encourage online, period, have real consequences on other people’s lives. God rest his soul.’

Iggy joins the likes of Kanye West, producer and rapper J Cole and Blink I82’s Travis Barker in paying their respects to XXX.
The rapper was killed in Miami, Florida, on Monday in what police believe was a ‘possible robbery.’
According to TMZ, XXX was shot as he left a motorcycle dealership where he’d been checking out new rides.
The website said there were two male suspects wearing hoodies who left the scene in a black Dodge Journey with dark tint and black wheels.

‘Witnesses say they heard multiple shots fired,’ a source told the website.
The Look at Me rapper was involved in several legal cases at the time of his death.
He was awaiting trial on charges of domestic violence against his pregnant girlfriend, TMZ reported.

He had been jailed in December but subsequently released so he could go out on tour, the website said.
Prosecutors had also accused him of witness tampering.
He had spent six months in prison for a 2015 armed home invasion charge – according to Pitchfork.
