Iggy Azalea unveils her next bold business venture after quitting music – and she is making an absolute fortune

Iggy Azalea has been seriously busy since hanging up the microphone on her music career.

The Fancy rapper, 33, entered the Web3 game after announcing her official retirement from music in January.

After a successful stint on OnlyFans that earned her millions, the 34-year-old, who was the first Australia-born rapper to land a No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, is now a fully-fledged crypto mogul.

The Sydney-born star launched her own memecoin — a tongue-in-cheek subculture of cryptocurrency — with her Mother Iggy ($MOTHER) coin in June.

It reached market capitalisation of US$200million in an unprecedented four days, making Mother one of the most popular and lucrative memecoins of all time.

On Wednesday, she announced her partnership with adult toy company Womanizer.

The rapper released her own limited edition version of the travel-sized Liberty 2 sex toy, in collaboration with the internationally best-selling clitoral stimulation toy brand.

Iggy was enlisted to design the ‘vibrant and exclusive colourway’ for the toy based on her bold style.

The brand collaboration is also an extension of her Motherland cryptocurrency universe.

In response to her many tech bro naysayers, the Grammy-nominated artist had previously vowed to transform her digital asset into an entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The idea is to make it possible for her memecoins, which hold value like stocks in the cryptocurrency world, to also be used as currency in the real world.

‘We’re both in the business of making people feel good,’ Iggy said in her announcement today.

‘Through this collaboration, we’re saying it’s time to prioritise your own satisfaction and celebrate your sexuality without any shame.’

‘You know that 90% of crypto people are guys right? Right?’ one X user wrote in  response to the announcement the rapper shared to X.

‘You really think I’m advertising to crypto people with this lollll,’ Iggy clapped back.

‘I’m coming for multiple markets at the same time.

‘It just so happens that holding $MOTHER gives you perks with all of the other businesses [that Iggy is aligned with].’

Outside of crypto, the Problem hitmaker also co-founded her own non-contract telecommunications service called Unreal Mobile.

She then added the option for its mobile users to pay for their service using her Mother Iggy currency.

The launch of Iggy’s online Motherland casino in Singapore is also slated for November.

The Black Widow rapper converted her X account into a promotional crypto platform after announcing her retirement from music.

‘Just a few things that $MOTHER provides,’ she wrote in a seperate post made to X today, as she gave further insight into her business plans.

‘Orgasms, Phone contracts, Festivals, Luxury goods, Poker Prediction markets.’

It comes after the female entrepreneur was slammed for throwing a raunchy rodeo themed party in Singapore last month.

Iggy hired 36 women to dance onstage for a crowd of crypto X personalities, app builders, and millionaire traders.

While partygoers appeared to be enjoying themselves in the many photos shared online, some investors claimed the Australian was making a mockery of their business.

Iggy said her goal was to break through the male-dominated industry’s ‘monotonous cycle of circle-jerking in empty clubs and calling them parties.’

‘Thirty-year old virgins have developed a Stockholm syndrome of sorts. I have to dedicate more time and resources to see my mission through,’ Iggy responded on X as she shared a video from the party.

”Crypto WILL have ass,’ she proclaimed. ‘The baddies are coming.’

Unlike other celebrites who have dipped their toes into the cryptocurrency game, made a quick buck, and cashed out — Iggy is going all in.

This new collaboration with Womanizer is a shrewd move to extend her reach to a female audience.

A decade after Iggy and Laneway 2025 headliner Charli XCX’s Fancy topped the 2014 Billboard charts, both stars have found new levels of success.

‘For a long time I used music to deliver my big crazy ideas to the world,’ Iggy penned when she announced the shelving of her fourth album.

‘I know a lot of people have this idea that I was “bullied away from music” and that’s something I’ve always laughed at because I’d never be bullied out of anything! In fact, I’m too stubborn.

‘I think I’ve even resisted changes within myself at times, purely because I don’t like being viewed as someone who quit.

‘In truth, what I’ve known for a long time is that I feel more passionately about design and creative direction than I do about songwriting.’

The buxom blonde joins a laundry list of female celebrities who have deftly merged capitalism with the female sexual empowerment movement.

The likes of Cara Delevigne, Dakotah Johnson and Gwenyth Paltrow have all come out with their own sex toy lines in recent years, while collaborations with existing companies have also enjoyed massive success.

This week, fellow Aussie celeb Abbie Chatfield has been promoting her new Kink Kit with Normal Co.

The FBoy Island host, 29, previously released an anal starter kit and revealed that she bought herself a house with the proceeds from her initial collaboration with the toy company on a vibrator.

WHAT ARE BITCOINS, CRYPTO, AND MEMECOINS?

What are Bitcoins?

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency – an online type of money which is created using computer code.

It was invented in 2009 by someone calling themselves Satoshi Nakamoto – a mysterious computer coder who has never been found or identified themselves.

Bitcoins are created without using middlemen – which means no banks take a fee when they are exchanged.

They are stored in what are called virtual wallets known as blockchains which keep track of your money.

One of the selling points is that it can be used to buy things anonymously.

However, this has left the currency open to criticism and calls for tighter regulation as terrorists and criminals have used to it traffic drugs and guns.

How are they created?

Bitcoins are created through a process known as ‘mining’ which involves computers solving difficult maths problems with a 64-digit solution.

Every time a new maths problem is solved a fresh Bitcoin is produced.

Some people create powerful computers for the sole purpose of creating Bitcoins.

But the number which can be produced are limited – meaning the currency should maintain a certain level of value.

Why are they popular?

Some people value Bitcoin because it is a form of currency which cuts out banking middlemen and the Government – a form of peer to peer currency exchange.

And all transactions are recorded publicly so it is very hard to counterfeit.

What are memecoins?

Memecoins are types of cryptocurrency inspired by viral internet memes.

They originally started out as a joke and were used for entertainment purposes, but have now ballooned in value in recent years.

The most popular memecoins include Dogecoin, Pepecoin, and a Donald Trump-themed coin called MAGA.
