An illegal immigrant who was taken into custody Saturday for the murder of a prostitute in Miami also confessed to killing another prostitute whose body was found three months ago, police said.
Carlos Hernandez Caceres is charged with first degree murder in the death of 41-year-old Ann Farran and 39-year-old Neidy Roche.
Miami police announced his arrest in a Twitter statement Saturday.
Miami police say surveillance video shows the 37-year-old stopping his car and dumping a woman’s body on a sidewalk, then returning an hour later to look at it.
Detectives say surveillance shows Caceres remove the body, later identified as Farran’s, from his Honda Civic and leave it on a sidewalk early Wednesday.
Video then shows him returning and parking about 100 feet away. Someone called police after the body had been lying on the sidewalk for two hours.
Farran’s body was left at Northwest 25th Avenue and 37th Street in the Allapattah neighborhood.
Police say Farran had been strangled and Caceres admitted to beating her during an argument after he made an agreement to pay for sex.

On March 2, Roche’s body was recovered on the side of the road near Northwest 30th Avenue and Northwest 26th Street, in a murder Caceres also admitted to. She had also been strangled to death.
Investigators noticed similarities in the murders following his Saturday arrest.
Investigators were also able to retrieve surveillance footage near the scene which showed a suspect get out of a vehicle in front of the crime scene, where Roche’s body was seen minutes later.
The criminal is an ‘illegally present Honduran national,’ a spokesperson for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said. He is seen above in a court photo this week
Furthermore, police matched a DNA sample from a Coca-Cola can Caceres drank from to the DNA found on Roche’s body.
Spokesperson for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Nestor Yglesias, confirmed the criminal was an ‘illegally present Honduran national,’ according to a statement seen on the Miami Herald.
‘ICE is focused on identifying, arresting and removing public safety threats, such as convicted criminal aliens and gang members, as well as individuals who have violated our nation’s immigration laws,’ the statement said.
Police said Caceres was arrested back in November for filing a false armed-carjacking report.
