A 22-year-old man is accused of stabbing his father 100 times before allegedly telling police, ‘my name is God. I killed Satan.’

John William Shenko, 22, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his 60-year-old father, Kevin Shenko, who was found dead on the ground outside of his home on August 13 in St. Charles Township, the Chicago Tribune reported.

‘I’m not getting off of him, you’re going to have to shoot me,’ the son told the deputy who arrived to the horrific scene, according to a recent court filing by Kane County prosecutors. ‘My name is God. I killed Satan.’

The man allegedly repeatedly asked the deputy to kill him when he found him naked and on top of his father covered in blood.

A psychological exam was requested by prosecutors for Shenko, who is being held in jail on $2million bond.

According to court records, an evaluation was filed on August 18, but it has been withheld from the public.

Assistant State’s Attorney Joe Cullen revealed what the responding sheriff’s deputy witnessed when he arrived to the gruesome scene at the family’s residence after a report of someone screaming was filed.

The 22-year-old man was straddling his father’s dead body saying, ‘Die, die, die, die, die,’ Cullen wrote of what the deputy witnessed.

Shenko ignored several commands, so the deputy used his Taser, according to documents.

The suspect’s mother told authorities that he son had a ‘long history of mental illness’ and had even been hospitalized three times for psychological issues.

His mother also said he had been diagnosed with autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. She said he suffered from aggression dating back to grade school and had reported suicidal thoughts.

According to court documents, he also has previously hidden knives beneath his mattress, plotted to kill one of his teachers, threatened to stab himself and was ‘extremely abusive’ to his mother, who he at one point punched in the face reportedly.

‘Due to the defendant’s violent behavior, Ms. Shenko and her daughter shared a bedroom and would sleep with the door locked in fear of the defendant’s behavior,’ Cullen wrote.

Prosecutors requested the evaluation to assess his sanity due to the possibility Shenko ‘might rely’ on an insanity defense during the trial or that he might plead guilty but mentally ill in the case, according to the Tribune.
