I’m A Celeb: Kerri-Anne Kennerley quits after being called ‘a self-centred b****’

Kerri-Anne Kennerley sensationally quit I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! on Thursday after Married At First Sight’s Domenica Calarco branded her ‘the most self-centred b**** she’s ever met’ during a fiery spat. 

The TV presenter, 69, time on the series came to an end after only four days in the South African jungle. 

The drama unfolded when Kerri-Anne and Domenica took part in an eating challenge alongside former Australian Idol judge Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson, radio host Woody Whitelaw, where they had to eat testicles in order to win dinner for the rest of the group.

In the challenge, a tennis racket placed in the centre of a table and spun,  whoever it landed on had to chow down on a testicular delight. 

At the end of the challenge, the team were offered 13 stars if they all ate a kudu ball. 

But Kerri-Anne wasn’t having any of it which cause Dom turned on her and called her ‘the most self-centred person she’d ever met’.

The other celebrities urged her to try the ball, telling her it ‘taste just like meatballs’ and ‘wasn’t that bad’.

But Kerri-Anne wasn’t having any of it, even offering Dom her make-up if she ate it in her place, causing fury from the MAFS star.

The TV presenter, 69, decided to quit the show after just three days following the spray from the 30-year-old reality star

‘Oh, Miss Big contract lady, can’t tell me what to do,’ Dom said.

‘I don’t want your 1989 lipstick. It’s not fair to everyone else there that tries. Why are you here, bro, legit, why are you here?

‘[You] literally [have] no respect or decency for anyone else but yourself. I’ve never met anyone so self-centred in my life,’ she added.

When she returned to camp, Kerri-Anne said the ‘abuse’ from Dom was ‘overwhelming’.

‘To be called the most self-centred bitch she’s ever met. And the contract queen time and time again. I would have finished, if she would have finished. It was never going to happen,’ she said in tears.

Upset at having to do three trials in a row, Kerri-Anne then told her campmates she was leaving.

However, when Dicko, Dom and Woody returned to the camp,  they told a different version of events.

‘So KAK and I both had not had the racquet spun to us at all at this point, obviously. Finally, they said OK, the next part of this task is worth eight stars,’ Dom explained.

‘It was pretty clear that Kerri-Anne was not going to make an attempt. So then there was just a bit a stand-off, because there was no point in Dom and Dicko eating their testicle. 

‘I had a bite to say at least” Kerri-Anne, take a bite with me”. Just try. She refused. 

Shortly afterwards, Dom sat down with Kerri-Anne at camp and addressed her makeup privileges while attempting to be respectful like Dicko suggested

‘I don’t apologise for the way I felt during the situation. I think I could have spoken better. 

‘But the lack of team effort and support at that time, it was completely selfish. It felt like what are you even doing here? I don’t know why she didn’t sate words before we got to the task. It waste to me that she was never going to attempt to eat the ball.’

The campmates then explained to that Kerri-Ann had told them Dom was unable to swallow, so she didn’t bother trying. 

‘It’s a copout,’ Dom added.

‘I love her. But she had zero, zero intention of mucking in and having a crack today. I’m sorry, she didn’t.’

It comes after Domenica complained Kerri-Anne had special privileges on Tuesday’s episode of the show. 

The reality star fumed over her campmate’s  special privileges, and how she managed to negotiate a special contract with Channel Ten before agreeing to sign on to the show.

Dom complained to the rest of the participants in the jungle while Kerri-Anne wasn’t present.

‘Why does she think it’s okay that she gets makeup and no one else does get skincare and makeup?’ she asked her fellow participants.

‘I feel as though there’s a power imbalance there.’
