I’m A Celeb: Rebekah Vardy brands Jamie Lomas ‘sexist’

He has been one of the favourites on the show so far, and something of a peacekeeper in camp.

But Jamie Lomas locks horns with Rebekah Vardy on Thursday night’s I’m A Celebrity, after she brands him ‘sexist’ for choosing two girls to clean the camp toilet.

In a teaser clip aired on This Morning, the Hollyoaks star, 42, is voted in as Prime Minister – but causes outrage when he selects Becky and Vanessa White to clean the dunny, as he didn’t want his ‘mates’ to do it.

On the upcoming episode, Stanley Johnson is replaced as Jungle Prime Minister by the actor, who is forced to reshuffle the tasks in camp.

Later returning to camp, he reveals that he has chosen Becky and the Saturdays star to be in charge of cleaning the toilet, reasoning: ‘I didn’t want the boys to have to clean the s*** up.’

However this sparks outrage in the WAG, who immediately fires back: ‘Oh so it’s alright for girls to do it then?’ before adding: ‘That’s slightly sexist Jamie.’

The actor then justifies his decision in the Bush Telegraph, claiming he did not want to subject Dennis Wise and Amir Khan to the task, as they are his friends.

He said: ‘I didn’t mean it like that. I nearly put Dennis and Amir on toilet duty but they’re my mates aren’t they? I couldn’t do that to them.’

Jamie also chooses Coronation Street star Jennie McAlpine as his deputy, causing a whole camp shake-up.

The incident comes just one day after Amir and Iain Lee caused fury in camp, by eating the Dingo Dollar prize themselves, without sharing with their co-stars.

The whole camp had earned the strawberries and cream treat after answering a question from Kiosk Keith correctly – but the two men decided to eat the dish themselves, and pretend they had answered wrongly.

Adding to the betrayal, Amir then later left pal Iain to take much of the blame despite the boxer being the one to instigate the naughty situation and subsequently caused mass outrage among their fellow celebrities.

A horrified Dennis said: ‘Just out of principle guys that is so wrong, so wrong.’ While Rebekah added: ‘If they were my kids I would be going ape s**t right now’.

Despite being the one who came up with the idea, Amir finally confessed: ‘We wouldn’t do it to our mates but guess what we did we are putting our hands up.’

A furious Dennis added: ‘Well this is all very simple if we win any more going forward you don’t get anything ok?’

Iain and Amir agreed that the campmates didn’t have to share their dinner of camel flank.

Shock: The decision caused outrage - with Dennis stating: 'Just out of principle guys that is so wrong, so wrong' while Becky added: 'If they were my kids I would be going ape s**t right now'
