I’m A Celeb South Africa: The final two campmates go head-to-head in a GRUESOME last trial

I’m A Celebrity South Africa will see the final two celebrities go head-to-head in a gruesome last trial tonight (Friday) to determine who wins the series. 

Fatima Whitbread, Phil Tufnell, Jordan Banjo and Myleene Klass all made it to the final four of I’m A Celeb South Africa on Thursday’s episode.

However, by the end of the final episode, they’ll be whittled down to just two celebrities, with just one taking the first ever I’m A Celebrity Legend crown.

And show bosses will not make it easy for the campmates as they have to take part in the ultimate eating trial, with Ant remarking: ‘If you do this, you deserve to be crowned the first ever Legend of I’m A Celeb!’

Watched on by their former campmates, the two stars will be shown the jungle nasties they could be eating and they must both suggest the number of each item they think they can eat in five minutes.

The celeb that chooses the highest number then must then try to eat that many in the allotted time. 

If they manage to succeed, they bag a point. However, if they can’t stomach it and fail, their opponent gets a point. 

To make things even tenser, if both stars pick the same number, then it’s a straight race. 

The battle will see the final two campmates take on nine dishes – including fermented eggs and mice tails – to determine who walks away as champion.

However, the road to victory will not be an easy one for either the athlete, 62, the former cricketer, 57, the dancer, 30, or the presenter, 45, as they also have to face a challenge to decide the top three.

The trip face a Trial that relies on them being able to count to six minutes, while enduring being covered in a whole manner of critters. 

They must each sit in a contraption that has their feet in boxes, their hands in hell holes and their heads in helmets.

Their feet will be surrounded by biting green ants, cockroaches and crickets will surround their hands while they must come face-to-face will snakes of varying sizes which will be added to their helmets.

The three celebrities must hit their buzzer when they think six minutes have passed. The two celebrities closest to six minutes go through to the final, the third celebrity will be sent home. 

It comes after there was a shock twist in Thursday’s instalment as all the old campmates already eliminated came back to decide the final four’s fate.

The returning celebrities had to pick the three they wanted to send to the final and choose one to send home.

The old stars returned as the final four took on the famous celebrity cyclone challenge and as they walked back into camp were surprised by their pals. 

Ant and Dec then arrived and sent the final four off for some food. While gone, the ex-campmates learned they had a job to do.

Dec said: ‘We haven’t just brought you back for a chit chat… you’ve actually got a very important decision to make.’

Ant added: ‘You’re going to turn our final four into the top three. You’re going to be doing that by deciding, as a group, who deserves to be in the final. You need to pick a top three and the person who isn’t in the top three will leave camp today.’

Stunned by the news, Toff said: ‘It’s a really awful, awful thing to have to do.’

Janice added: ‘It’s a terrible thing to do.’

As they tried and reach a decision, Joe said: ‘Listen, if we didn’t have to do this, we wouldn’t, we’d have them all in the final.’

The episode was left on a cliff hanger as Phil Tufnell got set to announce who they were sending home.

Elsewhere, earlier in the episode Countdown star Carol Vorderman, 62, and royal butler Paul Burrell, 64, headed for home after coming last in the Vile Vineyard trial.
