I’m A Celebrity Australia’s Khanh Ong reveals the VERY long list of contraband he smuggled into the South African camp

Khanh Ong has revealed the surprisingly long list of contraband he smuggled into the South African jungle.

The MasterChef star was the sixth star to be eliminated from camp on Tuesday, and he has now reflected on his time in the jungle, known for its grueling conditions.

He told how he managed to sneak a surprising amount of luxury goods into camp to make his stay more comfortable, before they were discovered and confiscated.

Known for his cookery skills, Khanh tried to sneak many snacks into camp for himself and his co-stars to enjoy, rather than just the measly food portions of rice and beans.

He told Chattr: ‘I had coffee, I had hot chocolate, I had sugar, salt and milk powder. I had protein powders, I had pre-workout, I had spice mixes, I had electrolytes, BCAAs and there was just so much chocolate.

‘There were lollies as well, we had nuts, I had so many different types of nuts, throughout the day I’d just drop nuts into people’s hands, when I was cooking, I was like putting spices in things just to make things more tasty.’

Despite his best efforts, he admitted the contraband was ultimately taken away from them in line with the Network Ten show’s strict rules.

He said: ‘When the contraband had to be taken off, I literally just threw everything out, I was just like guys just eat what you can, I just need to put the hair dye back into my hair so that Australia doesn’t know that I don’t naturally have pink hair.’

Candice Warner, who was the second star to be evicted from the show, also revealed that she managed to smuggle a packet of sweets into the jungle.

Khanh became the sixth star to be eliminated from the reality TV show on Tuesday as excitement continues to ramp up for the final, set to air later this month.

As the talented chef left, the group shared their concerns how they would cope with cooking after relying on his culinary talents.

In his exit interview, Khanh said that he enjoyed flexing his creative muscles in the camp kitchen.

‘Most of the meals were driven by whatever ingredients I got. How I made the most flavour with minimum ingredients or charring things to make more flavour,’ he said.

‘A lot of people helped. Every night I had a sous chef. Everyone was happy for me to do it because it is my happy place.’

‘I loved the experience. My campmates were amazing amazing and they’re going to be friends for life,’ Khanh added.
