I’m A Celeb South Africa: ‘Rules are rules!’ Fatima Whitbread fumes after dinner is jeopardised by the campmates’ contraband… but viewers are left in stitches by their antics
I’m A Celebrity fans were left amused by Thursday night’s contraband controversy.
After Amir Khan bagged 10 stars during trial Supermarket Shriek, the celebrities in main camp were supposed to be in for a delicious meal.
But the dinner was put in jeopardy after it was revealed that there were a number of contraband items in camp which had to be surrendered to an amnesty box.
Gillian McKeith, who famously also smuggled forbidden goods into the camp in her past series, had items including salt and 85 teabags with her which she pulled out of her pockets and bra.
Meanwhile, Paul Burrell had coffee and Myleene Klass had salt with them.
Uh oh! I’m A Celebrity South Africa fans were amused by contraband controversy and Fatima Whitbread was angry after dinner was put in jeopardy due to forbidden items on Thursday
Wow! Gillian McKeith had items including salt and 85 teabags with her which she pulled out of her pockets
Fatima Whitbread was left fuming after the shock announcement was made about the banned goods- and made a frank speech to the campmates.
‘I don’t agree with people being let off the hook,’ she raged. ‘Rules are rules!’
However, the incident left I’m A Celeb fans in stitches- and they took to Twitter to express their amusement.
One person said: ‘Oh my god Gillian’ while someone else added: ‘Did Gillian SERIOUSLY think she’d get away with salt and teabags down her bra?’
Another person commented: ‘My breasts make Almonds and Mints? What planet is this woman on??’
A separate tweet showed a picture of an angry Fatima with the words: ‘Someone isn’t a happy bunny…’
Elsewhere, someone else added: ‘NOT MYLEENE BRINGING IN SEASONING AS WELL.’
Others also expressed their hilarity, writing: ‘Christ how many took stuff in’ and ‘Gillian being like Mary Poppins getting tea and almonds out from everywhere.’
But not everyone was impressed by the hijinks and one person said: ‘I’m with Fatima in fact I think anyone taking stuff in should be removed from the camp.’

It comes after I’m A Celebrity; South Africa fans were frustrated on Thursday night’s episode as they claimed Myleene’s first trial was rigged in her favour.
In the challenge, which saw Myleene face Andy Whyment for a chance to head to the main camp, both celebrities had their heads in tubes.
They had to answer general knowledge questions which were asked by presenters Ant & Dec and were sprayed with critters and other horrors for every wrong answer.
Myleene managed to win the trial 4-1 and headed into the main camp to join the other stars.
But viewers took to Twitter in their droves to claim that the beauty was given easier questions and the challenge was set up for her to win.
One person wrote: ‘Myleene should not have been given “Fuma” as a correct answer.’
Another said: ‘How easy were her questions compared to his?’ while a third added: ‘Anyone else think the game was rigged in Myleene’s favour?’
A separate person penned: ‘Myleene is swapping places with Phil.’
Elsewhere, someone else said: ‘That trial was either 100% rigged or she is very jammy.’

It comes after I’m A Celebrity: South Africa fans were left shocked by Georgia Toffolo’s ‘brutal’ first trial on Wednesday night’s episode.
The star, also known as Toff, was one of the latecomers to the show, along with Myleene and Andy , and was chosen to win stars by the other 10 celebrities.
In the trial, called Hell Hole, Georgia had to go down a well and crawl through the confined space, looking for stars while surrounded by critters and other horrors.
And despite some screams and panicking about the conditions she was in, she managed to win eight stars and made her way to main camp.
