I’m A Celebrity star Tristan MacManus reveals the Father’s Day gift EVERY dad wants this year… and it’s not socks

Tristan MacManus has revealed the ultimate Father’s Day gift every dad wants.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star, who was runner up on the reality television show, hosted Teeling Whiskey Tasting at Frank Mac’s in Sydney on Thursday night and said there’s a better present dad’s would like to receive instead of socks this year.

‘Irish whiskey is the new socks!’ the father of three joked while raising his nip of Teeling in front of an intimate crowd.

Tristan looked smart as he hosted the night held at the cocktail bar nestled in the heart of the Rocks.

The former Studio 10 host wore a flashy grey suit and white shirt paired with brown leather boots.

He paired his look with a dark brown belt and accessorised with a chunky black wrist watch.

Tristan, who is married to Australian actress Tahyna MacManus, hails from the small town of Bray, Ireland. 

He grew up participating in ballroom dancing competitions in the coastal town.

The Former Studio 10 host married wife Tahyna in 2014 and the pair have three children together, Echo Ìsolde, seven, Oisín Lír, four, and Tadhg, two.

In 2011, the TV presenter made his debut as a dancing partner on Dancing With The Stars US.

He departed DWTS in 2013 and went on to join Strictly Come Dancing UK from 2014 until 2016.

Tristan then joined Dancing With The Stars Australia as a judge in 2019, featuring in two seasons. 

In 2020, the 41-year-old was announced as Sarah Harris’ new co-host on Studio 10 after the breakfast program underwent a major cast shakeup, with fan favourites Kerri-Anne Kennerley and Joe Hildebrand exiting.

Denise Drysdale and Natarsha Belling also left that same year, making way for a new lineup. 

He hosted the show for three years until its cancellation in late 2023.
