I’m A Celebrity’s Beverly Callard screamed in terror as she realised there was a bug stuck in her underwear during the first trial of the series on Sunday.
The Coronation Street legend, 63, was left traumatised as she took part in The Gates Of Hell trial alongside Shane Richie, Giovanna Fletcher, Vernon Kay, AJ Pritchard, Hollie Arnold, Jordan North, Victoria Derbyshire and Mo Farah.
Each star stood in a separate chamber and had to transfer stars through each chamber by moving them through the mesh with either their hands or a magnet.

The celebrities worked to manoeuvre the stars across their respective gates, whilst cockroaches, crickets, mealworms and maggots rained down on them.
As the critters fell all over her, Beverley struggled to move the stars and get through the trial, and she screamed her way through it.
While she claimed to be the ‘worst one’ at the trial, the ten celebrities did a good job as they managed to move seven stars from one side to the other, thus earning them seven meals for the camp.

Speaking with Jordan and Giovanna after the trial, Beverly began jumping around in fear and squealing as she claimed a cockroach had gotten into her pocket, and asked the BBC Radio 1 DJ to get it for her.
‘Oh my god this is my worst nightmare. Listen darling, I’ve fallen in love with you if you’ve got rid of them,’ she told Jordan.
The presenter shared Beverly’s sentiments as he claimed the trial was ‘absolutely horrific’, with Victoria simply saying she was ‘ecstatic’ they’d done so well.

They’re everywhere! Speaking with Jordan and Giovanna after the trial, Beverly began jumping around in fear and squealing as she claimed a cockroach had gotten into her pocket
But Beverly wasn’t convinced all of the bugs had been removed from her person, and suggested that the group check over themselves before going to their rooms.
Beverly continued to be jumpy, so much so that Victoria offered to check her bra for her after she claimed to have felt something moving around her boobs.
As she checked her bra, Victoria claimed she had ‘magnificent breasts’ as Beverly joked they were ‘pushed up beyond belief.’
Foreshadowing her terrifying ordeal earlier in the show, Beverly shared that she couldn’t stand ‘snakes, spiders, creepy crawlies, rats’ or ‘enclosed spaces’, as she joked: ‘Why have I said yes to this show?’
There had been doubts on whether the soap star would be able to take part in I’m A Celebrity, after having surgery on her hip during the summer.
She originally underwent a minor hip operation in March, followed by more substantial surgery after being left unable to walk.
Later on Beverly wasn’t convinced all of the bugs had been removed from her person, as she said she thought something was crawling near her boobs
But Beverley insisted she’s defied even her doctor’s expectations with her remarkable recovery, and will be able to take part in a majority of the trials.
Beverley told MailOnline: ‘I had one operation in March and then I had the great big one on 20th July, and I was really worried I wouldn’t be able to do it.
‘I’ll tell you what the hip surgeon said, these are his words not mine: ”Beverely you’ve got no chance” and then I’ve seen him a lot over the last few months and the last time when I saw him he was either going to say ”yes you can this” or ”no I can’t” and he said I’m a ”hell of a woman”.
‘He couldn’t believe it, and the hospital want to use me as an example. Theres one thing I can’t allow myself to do, and that’s bungee jumping, that’s the one thing I can’t do.
‘I would hate it if they said ”Beverley can’t take part in this because of medical grounds.”
‘I don’t want to be thought of as a wuss… but he said everything else i can do. I can walk, I can go upstairs, I can do everything. ‘
