In the video, Jacob says: ‘I’m a professional dating coach and here are three things that you can say, to get a man to ask you out on a date.’

He noted that ‘if he can’t take these super easy hints, then he’s probably not the man for you’.

Jacob’s first suggestion is to drop a flirtatious hint to let a guy you like know that you’re keen to go out with him.

He explains: ‘Number one, when he’s casually [asking] you ‘what you up to this week?’, I want you to say this.

‘Say, “I’m on waiting for his hot guy to ask me out on a date, but he’s taking forever”.

‘Deliver this in a flirtatious way, and I’m sure he will take the hint and ask you out on a date.’

His second tip involves mentioning places you’re keen to go to, which could give him ideas of where to invite you.

Jacob says: ‘Number two, when you’re talking to him, casually drop into the conversation somewhere you’d love to go.

According to the dating coach, there are different ways women can let men know they are interested in going on a date. He shared three of them in a recent video

‘So, for example, you could say “have you been to that restaurant?” then put the restaurant’s name and say, “it’s my favourite restaurant. I’d love to go again”.

‘Then, if he’s smart enough, he’ll take the hint and think, “oh, maybe I should ask her to go on dates at restaurants”.

The third suggestion is a bold option, which involves being quite explicit about wanting to go out with someone.

According to Jacob: ‘Third, when he keeps asking you questions, say this.

‘”Do you want to find out more about me? You’re going to have to take me out on more dates”.’

People took to the comments section of the video to share their thoughts on being asked out on dates – or asking men themselves.

One noted the efficacy of the advice, saying: ‘I’ve done all of the above. They work.’

Commentators shared their thoughts underneath the video - with a couple saying they would just ask a man out themselves, and another saying Jacob's suggestions have all worked for her

Another added their own suggestion, writing: ‘How about this : “is there anywhere good to eat around here” and when they suggest, you say “would you like to have lunch?”.’

A couple said they would ask a man they liked out on a date themselves, rather than waiting to be asked.

One said: ‘Or like couldn’t I just ask him out on a date?’

And another agreed, writing: ‘Or you can remember this is 2023 and ask him out…’

However, another suggested that this would be unnecessary, noting: ‘Usually they just ask you if they are interested.’
