‘I’m fine’: Roseanne Barr was victim of prank man claiming to be assistant said she had heart attack

Roseanne Barr was forced to tell fans she is ‘fine’ after someone called into a live online broadcast from her phone number purporting to be her assistant telling the host she had a heart attack.

The bizarre exchange unfolded Saturday during a Periscope broadcast hosted by Lee Stranahan.

A man called in and said his name is Frank and that he is ‘Roseanne’s new assistant.’

He told Stranahan that Barr, 66, had just suffered a heart attack.

The caller tells the host that he is ‘trying to figure out exactly what to do about this.’

He then tells Stranahan ‘You left her a voicemail where you were talking about some underwear and stuff,’ before the host cuts the broadcast off.

Following the strange incident, Barr tweeted to let concerned fans know she was okay.

She shared a picture of herself smiling with the caption ‘I’m fine.’

Shortly after, she followed up with a second tweet elaborating, ‘I was the victim of a prank. I’ve had no medical issues. I’m spending time at home with my family and relaxing.’

Stranahan is the co-host for a radio show, ‘Fault Lines with Nixon and Stranahan’ on Russian-controlled Sputnik Radio.

In a tweet, Stranahan explained that the call came from Barr’s phone.

‘I still don’t know who called,’ he said. ‘I don’t know if it’s someone who knows her.’

On Twitter, Stranahan voiced his concerns about the caller knowing the details of the voicemail he previously left with Roseanne about underwear, though he did not elaborate on content of the voicemail.

The host also said that the actress called him to make sure he was okay after the strange incident.

Barr was kicked off of the reboot of her eponymous show, Roseanne, by ABC after she fired off a series of racist tweets about a former aide to President Barack Obama.

The show has continued under the title ‘The Connors’ and Barr was killed off in the first episode.

The story line to her death was that she died of an overdose, and following the premiere episode, Barr tweeted ‘I ain’t dead b*****s!’
