‘I’m not sure about the future’: Radio DJ says she’s too scared to return to

The radio host allegedly stalked and kissed by a homeless man after he infiltrated high-security company headquarters three weeks ago has not returned to work.

Gen Fricker, 28, was allegedly grabbed and kissed by Kieren Gallagher, 31, about 2.30pm on September 5 after he managed to make his way into Sydney’s ABC office.

The Triple J disk jockey and young comedian revealed on Tuesday she was undertaking an ‘excruciatingly slow process’ to re-learn how to be ‘in the world’ again after the alleged traumatic event.

‘Right now I feel like I’m relearning how to be in the world and it’s an excruciatingly slow process but I’m trying to do the things I can,’ she wrote in an Instagram post.

‘I’m not sure about the future, but right now, I am grateful and ok.’

Gallagher was arrested after security guards alerted police, with him fronting Central Local Court on September 10 charged with stalking and intimidation with intent to cause fear as well as trespassing and common assault.

An email sent to ABC employees stated Gallagher was believed to have tailgated staff walking through the building’s high-security doors.

‘Following this incident, we have increased security guards at Ultimo. There may be increased checks on IDs, security attention at all building entry points and escalated physical security improvement works,’ the email said, Sydney Morning Herald reported.

The company had since ramped up its security presence within the Ultimo office, the email said, and had provided support to affected employees.

Gallagher had allegedly been stalking Ms Fricker for months ‘with the intention of causing her physical or mental harm’, according to court documents seen by Fairfax Media.

The 31-year-old was detained while his mental health is assessed with a second court date yet to be set.

He ‘appears to have significant mental health issues’ and ‘became abusive’ while appearing via video link, court documents revealed.
