Two men are being sought by police as part of a homicide investigation into the death of a young woman who was found with a gunshot wound and not breathing on a suburban Queensland street.
Police say Chloe Jade Mason, 23, known to those close to her as CeeJay, was chased and shot by two men just before she was found outside the home at Caboolture in the state’s southeast on December 22.
Detectives on Saturday released images of two males they say might be able to help in solving the targeted attack on Railway Parade, which happened just after midnight.
Officers found the young woman unconscious and she was unable to be revived.
Detectives believe Ms Mason was shot while being ‘assaulted by two male persons’.
The weapon used during the incident is yet to be recovered and the two unidentified assailants remain on the run.
Queensland police also released CCTV footage of the scene at the time of the shooting which includes audio in a public appeal for more information.
Police are also urging the two men involved to contact them.

Detective Inspector David Harbison said she had been shot at by two men, and investigators were treating her death as a homicide.
‘Early investigations indicate the deceased was assaulted by two male persons who may have chased her down Railway Parade,’ he told reporters earlier in the week.
‘Police are investigating reports of up to three to four shots fired in that street.’
During the assault the woman is believed to have received a gunshot wound.
Det Insp Harbison said police did not believe the incident was a random attack, with the parties involved known to each other.
Anyone who travelled along Railway Parade between 11.40pm on December 21 to 12.15am on December 22 is urged to contact police.

Daily Mail Australia previously revealed that Ms Mason was involved in a stabbing that almost claimed her life years before she was shot.
‘I’m in the [hospital] ward now,’ she shared on social media in 2016.
‘Still have 24/7 nurses hanging around me, checking up [and] making sure everything is correct and that nothing is out of place.
‘I have 2 drains in my heart to drain all the blood that’s leaking from the valve that’s been sliced when the knife penetrated my heart 3 cm deep.
‘I am fighting through this with the love and support from my family and friends.’
The shocking revelation comes after it was revealed her former on-again, off-again boyfriend Kane Alexanderson, 18, was himself stabbed to death in 2020 during a knife fight.

Ms Mason’s devastated sisters shared their tributes on social media and launched a fundraiser to pay for her funeral hours after her death on December 22
Hours after her death, Ms Mason’s devastated sister launched a fundraiser to share a heartbreaking message.
‘Chloe was chased down by 2 men and fatally shot on the 22nd of December 2024 in Brisbane,’ Hannah McKone posted on GoFundMe.
‘Chloe was only 23 years old.’
‘Being so close to Christmas her family has no savings or financial means to give her a funeral.
‘We are graciously asking for help and support in this. All funds donated will be directly utilised for Chloe’s funeral service.’
Another sister, Danni Mason, remembered Chloe as a ‘daughter, a sister, an aunt and a friend … who was loved by many’.
‘This loss has devastated our family and we struggle to come to terms with this so close to the holidays,’ she wrote.
‘As sisters we grieve for the things she won’t experience, all the things we aren’t able to share and the memories we won’t make. She was an incredible woman.’
Neighbours told the ABC that they heard hearing several gunshots shortly before the woman’s body was found.
‘I heard about three or four gunshots and then a little bit of whimpering, and then I heard a man yelling out f****** c***,’ one recalled.
‘(It was) very scary.’
