Xabi Alonso displayed his incredible coaching capabilities in a viral video posted on social media. 

Alonso is world football’s most in-demand coach after a hugely successful season with Bayer Leverkusen that sees them 10 points ahead of Bayern in the Bundesliga title race. 

The 42-year-old has been courted by Liverpool and Bayern Munich but is set to announce his decision to stay with the Bundesliga leaders for another season. 

Alonso has helped improve a number of Leverkusen players this term and a clip posted by the club showed his one-to-one capabilities in training. 

Left wing-back Alex Grimaldo was practicing free-kicks and saw a tame effort easily saved by the goalkeeper.

Alonso then walked over to him and gave him some instructions while performing plenty of gestures with his hand. 

Grimaldo then changed his technique and produced a superb strike full of movement on it’s way to find the top corner. 

It was instant result for the full-back who has been one of Europe’s best performers this season. 

The 28-year-old has scored nine goals and provided 11 across all competitions in a season to remember for Leverkusen. 

They are 10 points clear of Bayern Munich at the top, unbeaten all season, and into the last eight of the Europa League for a second year running. 

It has been a historic season, with Leverkusen on course to lift their first Bundesliga title barring an almighty breakdown, and they have only conceded 18 goals in the process.
