An incredible timelapse video has shown Israel’s Iron Dome as it took out Iranian rockets with explosions as it lit up the night sky during an aerial battle.
The CCTV footage shows dozens of ballistic missiles hurtling towards their intended targets within Israel before the country’s advanced defence system sprung into action.
In the video a couple of missiles can be seen flying across the night sky before more and more come into view.
A sudden bursts of light can be seen in the corner of the video as the missiles are intercepted.
The footage comes after Iran launched a major attack against Israel on Tuesday night.

Air raid sirens sounded as some 181 missiles began raining down on Israel, many lighting up the night sky in bright orange flame as they were intercepted by Israel’s ‘Iron Dome’ defence system.
The Israeli military has vowed that there ‘will be repercussions for this attack’, with the ambulance service reporting no injuries from the onslaught.
Iran’s assault marks a major escalation in the Israel-Hamas war and follows a previous bombardment in April which saw hundreds of drones and missiles launched at the country.
With the world holding its breath over an all-out war in the Middle East, the White House said President Joe Biden ordered the US military to ‘aid Israel’s defence’ and shoot down Iranian missiles.
Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee in next month’s US presidential election, are both monitoring Iran’s attack on Israel from the White House situation room.
The IDF has not confirmed which missiles were used, but the US had warned earlier that it was preparing for Iran to launch ballistic missiles this evening in yet another major escalation that leaves the Middle East on the brink.

A triumphant Tehran has claimed up to 80 per cent of its missiles ripped through Israel’s sophisticated air defences – but the IDF disputed this, saying most were shot down, with the aid of US warships in the region.
Israeli officials have not reported any serious injuries as a result of Tuesday’s air attacks, but Israeli medics said two people had been slightly wounded by shrapnel. One Palestinian living in the West Bank was killed in the attack.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards threatened to carry out ‘crushing attacks’ against Israel if it retaliated after a missile attack by the Islamic republic.
‘If the Zionist regime reacts to Iranian operations, it will face crushing attacks,’ the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said in a statement carried by Iranian news agency Fars.
They added: ‘In response to the martyrdom of (Hamas leader) Ismail Haniyeh, Hassan Nasrallah and (Guards commander) Nilforoshan, we targeted the heart of the occupied territories (Israel).’
Israeli officials reportedly claimed that they expected the target of the new Iranian attack to be three military air bases, as well as an intelligence headquarters north of Tel Aviv, which was evacuated this afternoon.
