Crossbench Senator Nick Xenophon is the latest politician to be embroiled in the dual-citizenship scandal as it is revealed he is a UK dual citizen by decent.
The South Australian senator will refer himself to the High Court after finding out he is in facet a British Overseas Citizen.
Xenophon’s father was born in Cyprus when it was a colony of Britain.

His father moved to Australia in 1951 on a British passport- eight years before he was born.
Xenophon claimed he had checked with Cyprian and Greek authorities prior to becoming a member of parliament – not knowing there could be a link to the UK.
