Indiana bride pulls first look prank on her groom at their wedding with the best man in a dress

An Indiana bride ended up pulling off a hilarious prank on her wedding day after the groom’s best man ended up stepping into her shoes, (or at the very least, her dress).

Andrew Wright, 25, was about to take part in the obligatory wedding photoshoot and was getting ready for a ‘first look’ at his bride at Abram Farm in Spencer.

But as he turned around expecting to see a vision of loveliness all dressed in white, he instead saw a bearded, muscular man – his best man, Kye Stachowski.

Stachowski, 24, grabbed a bouquet and then somehow managed to find a wedding dress in order to pose for the moment and surprise Wright.

The silly prank was all at the request of the bride, Nicole Smith, 24.

‘I was still with the girls, and Wright was frustrated because his best man had disappeared,’ photographer Belinda Russell said. ‘He thought things were falling apart.’

Wright said the was totally confused when he was totally confused he saw his friend standing in front of him instead of his wife-to-be.

‘My first reaction to seeing Kye was complete confusion,’ he said. ‘For a solid second, my brain was processing what was going on,’ he told the IndyStar, before breaking out into laughter.

Russell said that Stachowski was a’ macho guy’ which made the sight of him wearing a wedding dress even more ridiculous.

‘He was all in,’ Russell said. ‘When the bride brought it up, he thought he’d be wearing the actual wedding dress, and she was like, ‘Nope, you’ve gotta borrow one.”

Stachowski ended up getting some help from the bridesmaids who helped him slip into the matron of honor’s dress.

‘That was the first time I’d worn a dress,’ Stachowski said. ‘But I wanted to do it.’

He wasn’t able to find a pair of high heels in his side that fit so he ended up just wearing slacks and dress shoes underneath the gown.

The idea for the gender-bending deception was only planned a week before the August 4 wedding.
