Two people, including a teenage girl, are in a critical condition after being injured in a shooting at an Indiana middle school.
The incident unfolded at Noblesville West Middle School on Friday morning. The suspect was in custody and that the school was in lockdown.
The girl was injured along with an adult. Both were taken to hospital and there are no other threats to the community.
No details about the shooter’s identity have been revealed but local media reports, which said there were three student ‘involved’ in the incident, suggest that they attend the school.

Indiana State Police spokesman Sgt. John Perrine said both of the victims were on their way to local hospitals.
‘There are two victims en route to Methodist from the Noblesville West Middle School Active Shooter.
‘Those families have been notified Suspect in custody.
‘All students are being taken to the Noblesville High School, parents are asked to pick up there,’ he tweeted.
One student hit in a closet while the shooter was inside. In an email to their parents which was obtained by Fox 59, said: ‘There was a shooter in the building, luckily we were in one of the safest closets in the school, I hope that everyone is alright, I’m still shaking, girls are crying, the officers are here and holding the shooter in custody, this has to be a dream, I don’t have my phone, but pick me up in the high school.
‘I love you guys.’
