Influencer breaks down in tears over seagull as she notices disturbing detail: ‘This is so sad’

Love Island Australia winner Tina Provis has shared a disturbing video of a seagull while on a trip to the beach.

In a video she posted to TikTok on Wednesday, the 28-year-old noticed the gull standing on a red lifebuoy, and expressed her horror at the detail many onlookers had missed.

From afar, the bird seemed to be fine, but when she zoomed in Tina realised one of its legs had been severed by fishing line.

Not only that, but the line somehow became entangled with the other parts of the seagull’s body and the decomposing leg was hanging off it.

‘Its leg is not connected to his body. Oh my God, oh my God, I feel so sorry for this little guy. What is that, it’s like…is that even a foot?’ Tina cried.

‘Oh my God, so he’s reminded of it everyday,’ the influencer added before leaving the bird alone and saying, ‘I hope you’re okay.’

When she got back to her car, the winner of the 2021 season of Love Island starting to burst into tears.

‘It makes me so sad that this poor seagull is just flying around like that. I tried to go back and find him but he wasn’t there anymore,’ the reality television star said on her TikTok.

It comes as Tina recently revealed the ‘sad’ reason she struggled while appearing on the hit Channel Nine dating show she won in 2021.

The Love Islander shared a heartbreaking post to Instagram revealing she felt insecure on the show due to being one of the few non-white cast members.

‘Looking back on my Love Island experience, the environment amplified an existing fear I can barely admit to myself: I am not as good as someone who is white,’ she began.

Tina, who won the show with Mitch Hibberd, said she had worried about finding love on the show due to being the only Asian person amongst a predominantly white cast.

She shared: ‘When you are stuck in the confines of coloured plexiglass and obnoxious neon signs, it does make you wonder, “Does nobody want me because I’m Asian?”

‘I had a conversation with another POC islander, where we questioned whether our race made us less desirable.

‘At the end of the day, it is a social experience and everything that happens is an amplification of real-world behaviour.’
