Influencer couple roasted for an embarrassing detail in ‘outfit of the day’ video

An Aussie influencer couple has been skewered over an embarrassing detail in their recent ‘outfit of the day’ video.

Instagram model Jacquie Alexander raised eyebrows this week when she uploaded a video of herself modelling a blue jumper alongside her hockey player boyfriend Nathan Ephraum.

As Jacquie pouted, posed and flicked her hair for the camera, Nathan was seen sipping from a coffee cup.

Yet seconds later it became apparent the cup was actually empty, and that Nathan had seemingly mimed the entire thing.

Influencer watchdog account Celeb Spellcheck reposted the video on Wednesday, sharing a screenshot of the moment Nathan accidentally held his cup at an angle that showed it was empty.

‘Mugshot [teacup emoji],’ the admin captioned the post.

Celeb Spellcheck’s followers couldn’t resist poking fun at the couple’s faux pas, with one commenting: ‘How hard is it to just put any liquid in it?’

‘But why though? The sipping of air was pointless,’ another commented, while a third added: ‘New lows – fake drinking haha.’

Others sarcastically praised Nathan for his ability to fake drinking, with one remarking: ‘Actually really impressed by the acting skills. He had me fooled.’

There is a chance that Nathan was drinking, however.

If there was only a small amount of liquid left, it’s possible he finished the drink on camera before showing the empty inside of his cup.
