Influencer Em Davies puts her filthy white couch up for sale online for a ‘ridiculous’ $900 – but the reaction is VERY surprising

Pregnant influencer Em Davies has received surprising support after reportedly trying to flog her filthy white couch online.

The Perth-based social media star, 30, who is expecting a baby girl with her fiancé Joel Gambin, took to Facebook Marketplace to share the furniture advert.

She attached a $900 price tag to the second-hand linen couch, with pictures showing the item of furniture looking stained, according to the Outspoken podcast.

A photograph allegedly taken from the advert showed the couch looking heavily discoloured and encrusted with black marks.

After online sleuths came across the advert, sisters Amy, Sophie & Kate Taeuber discussed the state of the couch on their podcast and gave their candid thoughts.

They explained that many social media users were left ‘shocked’ and criticised Em for the state of the couch, which they said was ‘not looking its best’.

However, the sisters rallied behind Em in a surprising show of support as they praised her for her ‘honesty’ about the couch’s well-worn condition.

‘Em was very honest in the ad about it she didn’t try to conceal the marks, she did have them on full display,’ they said.

They also pointed out that the Em left a message for potential buyers that explained that the stains would come out with a ‘professional clean’.

The presenters insisted she did the ‘right thing’ but went on to admit that $900 is ‘expensive’ for a second-hand item of furniture.

‘Its ridiculous what people are charging these days,’ they added.

They also speculated that Em might be getting rid of the couch to replace it with a more ‘kid-friendly’ item of furniture ahead of the arrival of her first child.

Em and her fiancé Joel are set to welcome their baby girl in August and she recently teased her favourite baby names.

Last month, Em shared a video in which she revealed that she has already decided on a name for her daughter, but refused to reveal what it is.

She went on to reveal that she likes the names Delilah, Romy and Eloura and the boy names Carter, Ki and Blu, but insisted she won’t be using any of them.

‘We really loved Maeve but it just didn’t work for the middle name we want to use,’ she added.

She also revealed she ‘loved gender neutral names like Stevie’, before teasing: ‘But the name we have chosen is not gender neutral at all.’
