Influencer exes Jono and Amy Castano barely break even after selling their Sydney investment property following their marriage split

Jono Castano and his ex-wife and business partner Amy have sold their Sydney investment apartment following their marriage split last year.

The former couple, who run the trendy Acero gym in Kensington, barely broke even with the sale, making just $20,000 in profit after owning the property for six years.

They offloaded the unit for just $750,000, after paying $730,000 for it in 2015, reports Realestate.com.au.

The two-bedroom apartment in Rosebery had been a $650-a-week rental before this was dropped to $530 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The sale comes after Jono posted a heartfelt tribute to Amy, with whom he still maintains a business relationship, on her birthday in May.

Proving there’s no bad blood between the exes, the 31-year-old celebrity trainer shared a photo to Instagram of the pair, and wrote: ‘We’re still walking through life, achieving great things and trying to be everything amazing.’

‘So much I learnt from you. So much I am still learning. Today, you’re far away but I’m wishing you a Happy birthday and a beautiful day,’ he added.

Jono’s post came two days after he debuted his romance with new girlfriend Simone Holtznagel, who is one of Australia’s most in-demand models.

Their relationship became public knowledge after they were pictured kissing at Mimi’s, the celebrity hotspot owned by hospitality mogul Justin Hemmes, who is dating Simone’s sister Madeline.

The Castanos split early last year, but decided to keep up appearances before making an announcement.

While they are no longer together, they remain friends and continue to operate their fitness empire together.

The estranged couple first met on MySpace 13 years ago, before later running into one another at a nightclub and falling in love.
