Influencer Sarah’s Day opens up on her ‘debilitating’ and ‘painful’ pregnancy struggles as she details health condition

Sarah’s Day has opened up about her ‘debilitating’ and ‘painful’ pregnancy struggles and revealed how she is warding off her symptoms.

The Aussie influencer, 31, whose real name is Sarah Stevenson, took to Instagram on Friday to discuss her struggles with symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD).

SPD refers to the uncomfortable symptoms felt when the joint between the pelvic bones moves more than usual, causing discomfort and persistent pain.

Sarah, who is set to welcome her third child in October, said she suffered with SPD during her first two pregnancies with sons Fox Ocean, five, and Malakai Koa, two.

She detailed what she is doing differently during her third pregnancy in a bid to ward off the ‘debilitating’ and ‘painful’ symptoms as she opened up about her struggles.

Sarah gave an insight into the exercise regime she has adopted, which has seen her reduce her cardio and instead focus more on Pilates and resistance training.

Sarah, who is currently 20 weeks pregnant, shared a video of herself doing a range of core exercises and physio approved stretches alongside a lengthy caption.

She penned: ‘Things I’m doing differently in my THIRD pregnancy. While showing you my pregnancy Pilates workout from week 19 of Body & Bump guide! (Linked)

‘Most of these points have to do with my own experiences and previous pregnancies. I suffered with excruciating cases of SPD (symphysis pubis dysfunction) from 28 weeks with pregnancy one and 20 weeks pregnancy two.

‘If you’ve experienced – you already know. Debilitating and painful to say the least.

‘Particularly after my second pregnancy, I noticed that both long walks and heavy leg workout were triggers that aggravated my pelvis.

‘As soon as I became pregnant this third time around, I was determined to delay the onset of my almost imminent SPD symptoms.

‘I’ve been following the 24 week Body & Bump guide that has encouraged me to still enjoy a sweat, booty burn, core engaging exercises, cardiovascular movements and toning strength, all while taking care of my growing bump.

‘I’m 20 weeks pregnant and feeling AMAZING! By now with my second pregnancy I had already ceased most of my single leg exercises so I’m feeling really positive and happy that these changes and adjustments I’ve made are truly making an impact.

‘SPD/pelvic issue girlies – what did YOU find were your biggest aggravating triggers!?’

Sarah is currently counting down the weeks until welcoming her third child with her husband Kurt Tilse in October.

The social media star first announced her pregnancy to her 1.2million followers at the start of May.
