A 20-year-old influencer with a rare form of cancer has bid farewell to her fans in a heartbreaking video, revealing her symptoms have worsened and she’s on end-of-life care.

Elena Huelva, who has gained more than 615,000 followers on Instagram for documenting her health battle online, was diagnosed with a type of bone cancer called Ewing sarcoma in 2016.

She became a symbol of resilience while being honest and open about her fight with the disease on social media over the last six years.

But in a heartbreaking update on Sunday, Elena – who lives in Spain – said goodbye to her followers, as she revealed that her health had deteriorated.

Lying in a hospital bed with tubes attached to her airways, the influencer said: ‘They found more disease in my windpipe, which is very dangerous, as you know, because that’s where we breathe. I don’t need to say much more.

‘No matter what happens, I know that my life has not been in vain because I have fought and I have achieved what I want, to [bring awareness to the disease].’

She explained that she hoped she would never have to make this video, but added: ‘I want to make it clear that I’ve already won. With all the love and people I have by my side, I’ve already won.
