Injured Pixie Lott arrives in a wheelchair at Stansted

She was enjoying her annual romantic getaway to the slopes with her hunky fiancé.

But Pixie Lott looked downcast when she arrived home in a wheelchair at Stansted airport on Saturday after she suffered an unfortunate skiing accident.

The Baby hitmaker, who is planning to tie the knot in the nearby future, rested her twisted knee as she was assisted through the terminal by a pal.

Stunning Pixie bundled up in a scarlet anorak to keep the cold at bay when she touched down in London after making the journey from France.

The singer injured her leg when she was skiing on the icy slopes at La Folie Douce Val d’Isère, in France in recent days. 

Avid skier Pixie defiantly claimed she will return to the slopes as the injury has not put her off future getaways.

A spokesperson for Pixie told MailOnline: ‘She twisted her knee while skiing. She arrived back home in the morning and she is having it checked out to see what is wrong with it. 

‘She didn’t cut her holiday short as she had always planned to come home last night. She said the injury hasn’t put her off and she loves skiing so won’t let it stop her.’ 

Pixie has been sharing a slew of snow covered Instagram posts from her festive break with her 583,000 followers.

The West End star described herself as an ‘extremely cautious’ when she discussed her love of the sport in an interview with the Metro in November 2014.

‘I am extremely cautious. So that’s why I could never do the Slalom. I am not very high risk on the slopes. But I love ski season. It feels so Christmassy.’ (sic)

Pixie revealed how she introduced her husband-to-be to the winter sport when she invited him on holiday with her family.

The lovebirds have a love affair with the slopes as they have decided to return every year for their annual festive break.

‘Ollie really loves skiing actually,’ she told the publication. ‘The first time he went was with me and my family, when I first started going out with him. We signed him up to ski school so he was there with all the youngsters.

‘We have been every year since we started going out. He loves the sport now and he is the same standard as all of us, the average skier!’
