Coleen Rooney publicly accused Rebekah Vardy of selling fake stories about her in an extraordinary war of words on Wednesday.
The mother-of-four, 33, took to social media to reveal she had suspected someone close to her had been betraying her for years and admitted she had been planting false Instagram stories on her private page to catch the WAG, 37.

The 33-year-old is extremely close to her parents, Colette and Tony, and has even called her mother her ‘best friend’ in the past.
Coleen has previously labelled her mum Colette a ‘hero’ and publicly thanked her for helping out with her children with husband Wayne – Kai, nine, Klay, six, Kit, three, and Cass, 20-months.
The star also has a strong bond with her two brothers, Joe and Anthony McLoughlin, with Coleen being best friends with Joe’s partner Amy Wilkinson and Anthony’s girlfriend Carley Smith.
Amy and Joe have son, Bobby, who is Coleen’s nephew and is a similar age to her own son, Kit, three.

Coleen and Amy have been pictured at several events together over the years, including an Ed Sheeran concert and they even attended Glastonbury in 2011.
As well as her own family, the WAG also has a close bond with Wayne’s nearest and dearest with Coleen pals with his cousin Claire Rooney.
Coleen also has some celebrity pals in her inner circle of trust, including fellow WAGs – Abbey Clancy, Danielle Lloyd and Dawn Ward.
The trio make up some of the star’s 367 followers on her private Instagram account, reserved for her closest friends who she trusts.

Abbey, a fellow Liverpudlian, is married to former footballer Peter Crouch, and has been friends with Coleen for years.
Although the duo are rarely seen out together, they are nothing but supportive on social media and constantly comment on each other’s milestones.
Danielle, another fellow Liverpudlian, used to be married to footballer Jamie O’Hara, and is one of the followers on Coleen’s private account.
The model even posted three rat emojis in support for Coleen over her statement about Rebekah on Wednesday.
Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward, who is married to former footballer Ashley Ward, is on Coleen’s Instagram and has regularly been seen on nights out with the star over the years.

She said: ‘Silly things will make us laugh – but when we’ve got a babysitter the best thing we like to do is go to a concert with friends and maybe go out to dinner. That’s our ideal date night.’
Yet despite having a close connection of pals, Coleen only has one best friend and that is her mother Colette.
Talking to the Express newspaper in 2014, she said: ‘My best friend is my mum. She’s the first person I go to for advice.’
Coleen also revealed that she is responsible for all of her meet-ups with friends, she added: ‘Not a lot of people know this but I’m very good at organising. I’m quite good at putting on events. Even if it’s just a night out, it’s me who gets everyone together.’

Speaking about her mother in another interview with Cheshire Life in 2014, she said: ‘You get older and realise the sacrifices your elders made for you. Over the years I’ve realised how much I idolise my mum – she is my hero.
‘I just don’t know where I’d be without her. She brought me up in a way I want to emulate with Kai and Klay; and I couldn’t have asked for a better childhood.’
Coleen has stressed how important it is to her that all her children remain grounded despite growing up in the public eye.
In 2017, the star told The Mail on Sunday that she wants her kids to spend their time surrounded by friends and relatives, rather than with the celebrity acquaintances favoured by other footballing families.
Coleen was devastated to leave her family in 2018 after she moved to Washington, D.C., with husband Wayne and their four children.

The family-of-six moved out to the US capital for just under a year for Wayne’s transfer to D.C. United, they moved back to the UK over the summer.
Before her big move stateside, Coleen told the Mirror: ‘It was an emotional conversation with my mum.
‘It’s hard not being able to pop down the road – an eight- hour flight is a long distance. You can’t just nip over for a cup of tea.’
She added: ‘I will miss my family. They help us so much with the kids. But they will come and visit.’
It comes after Coleen took to social media on Wednesday to reveal she had suspected someone close to her had been betraying her for years and she had conclusive proof that her friend Rebekah Vardy was the guilty party.

She admitted she has been planting false Instagram stories on her private page and blocking all her friends apart from Rebekah – and then noting that they would appear in The Sun.
She admitted that stories about her basement flooding, returning to TV and gender selection were only viewed by Rebekah and these were subsequently followed by media outlets, including MailOnline.
The Sun has since removed their story about Coleen’s basement flooding after discovering she had made it up.

Rebekah, who is currently on holiday in Dubai, hit back minutes later on social media and denied the accusations, asking why Coleen didn’t call her to sort it out.
She wrote: ‘Can’t believe I’m even having to write this. I’m pregnant & on holiday & am at a loss to why she would do this.
‘I’m now having to take legal advice as I can’t deal with this stress myself when I’m this pregnant.
