Inside former X Factor star Jason Owen’s intimate country wedding

Former X Factor Australia star and country singer Jason Owen has tied the knot with his stunning partner Becy, after having to postpone their wedding at the end of last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

The pair married in a rusty country chic wedding in Albert, in regional NSW, on Saturday in front of 120 guests. 

Daily Mail Australia has obtained some gorgeous photographs of the pair’s big day, which included elaborate floral displays, an eye-catching three-tiered wedding cake and the bride wearing two stunning dresses. Take a look inside Jason and Becy’s wedding.

The couple first said ‘I do’ in a church in Albert that his great grandmother helped establish. 

They then enjoyed a reception and Italian feast at Soul Food Depot and Gallery at Narromine, near Jason’s hometown of Dubbo.

Jason, 27, who finished runner-up to Samantha Jade on The X Factor back in 2012, looked dapper on the day in beige trousers, a white shirt and a dark suit jacket and tie.

Becy meanwhile stunned in not one, but two white dresses, one for the reception and another for the ceremony. 

For the nuptials, the brunette beauty looked gorgeous in a white lace dress that hugged her figure and featured a fishtail skirt. 

She wore her long hair out and over her shoulders and natural-looking makeup. 

Her reception gown was more relaxed and a glittering material and thin spaghetti straps and a flowing A-line skirt.

After tying the knot on the weekend, Jason shared a selfie of the pair together and captioned it: ‘Surprise! We are now Mr and Mrs Owen. More pictures of the best day of my life to come.’ 

The pair are currently honeymooning in the Whitsundays, in Queensland, on Hamilton Island. 

On Wednesday, Jason shared a picture of himself with Becy and said he was showing off his psoriasis as Becy makes him feel more ‘comfortable in my skin’ and ‘accepts me for who I am.’

‘I’m so lucky to be married to this beautiful girl,’ he wrote in part of his post. 

In August, Jason announced on Facebook that he and Becy had to postpone their wedding, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

‘Thanks to Covid-19 we have agonised over the decision to postpone our big day,’ he wrote on Facebook.

‘Together we have a dream of a wedding day with our closest friends and family having an amazing night having a few drinks and dancing the night away. Even though you know I can’t move.’

He finished: ‘But anyway now we are going to try again in winter 2021.’ 

Jason first rose to fame on The X Factor Australia back in 2012. 

After finishing as a runner-up on the series, Jason went on to release his debut album Life Is A Highway, featuring 10 classic covers of tracks he grew up listening to.

He recently celebrated the release of the album Jason Owens Sings John Denver: The Acoustic Sessions.
