Inside Gemma Collins’ 42nd birthday party at her £1.3m Essex home

She is a self-proclaimed diva known for pulling out all the stops when it comes to celebrations.

And Gemma Collins certainly didn’t fail to disappoint as she arranged a very lavish party to celebrate her 42nd birthday on Friday night.

The former TOWIE star, whose birthday is on January 31, kicked off her celebrations in style as she partied the night away with a huge host of friends.

She hosted the star-studded bash in a luxurious marquee at her £1.3million Essex home kitted out with stunning pink and white personalised decorations.

Gemma, also known as ‘the GC’, recruited DJ Fat Tony to perform at her birthday bash, where she partied with the likes of former X Factor stars Jedward.

She also debuted a striking new look for the occasion, showing off her newly-dyed pink tresses, complete with a matching feathered outfit and headpiece.

DEBUTING HER NEW LOOK

Gemma took to Instagram throughout Friday night to give an insight into her sensational birthday celebrations with a series of videos and photographs.

And at the beginning of the night, Gemma showed off her brand new look as she dyed her signature blonde locks to pastel pink.

In one stunning snap, Gemma flaunted her brand new birthday look, which she styled with a very extravagant feathered headpiece.

Keeping to the her colour theme, she accentuated her features with a slick of pink eyeshadow and a matching shade of lipstick.

She looked glamorous in a black sequinned off-the-shoulder gown complete with a purple feathered trim as she didn’t fail to capture attention.

PARTYING WITH FAMOUS PALS

A whole host of her friends rallied around her to mark her big day as she kicked off her celebrations a whole five days before her birthday.

She was joined by twin brothers Jedward, whose real names are John and Edward Grimes, as they flew over specially for her party.

Taking to Instagram after landing in England, they said in a video: ‘Gemma we just landed, we’re here in your part of the woods. We’re on our way to you.’

The brothers were then seen dancing and partying the night away with Gemma at her lavish bash – and even took to the mic to sing Elton John and Dua Lipa’s Cold Heart remix.

Jedward made sure to turn heads as they sported matching leopard print sequinned shirts and black trousers for the occasion.

Gemma was also seen kissing one of the brothers on the cheek and letting him wear her extravagant pink headpiece as she took to the dance floor.

The Irish singing duo also took to Instagram to share a snap of the three of them alongside a sweet birthday message for Gemma.

They penned: ‘Happy Birthday to the iconic Jepic Queen Gemma Collins she’s now rocking Pink hair it’s so her and completely represents her energy and vibes! Super Happy to be celebrating her birthday.’

Also on Gemma’s vast guest list were the likes of model Aaron Frew and an array of her close pals, who all featured on videos shared to her Instagram Stories.

MUSIC FROM DJ FAT TONY

Arguably the highlight of Gemma’s night though was DJ Fat Tony performing at her lavish event.

Fat Tony, whose real name is Tony Marnach, is best friends with Kate Moss and Boy George and has carved out a reputation for himself as fashion’s go-to DJ.

And Gemma was over the moon that the legendary DJ agreed to headline her birthday celebrations, sharing a slew of videos of his set.

The excited birthday girl took to Instagram to share a video with Tony, where she gushed over him and described it as a ‘dream come true’.

She said: ‘So guys, sorry I’ve been quit on the Gram but it is my birthday on Wednesday and to celebrate I’ve got the one, the only, DJ Fat Tony. 

‘Can’t believe it, he’s come here to do my birthday gig. I can’t believe it, it’s a dream come true!’

Gemma went on to share an array of videos of Fat Tony performing, alongside the likes of singer Moni Tivony and drummer Bongo Dan.

Later in the night, Gemma took to the stage as she introduced Fat Tony to her guests, admitting that she never thought he’d agree to attend her party.

She said: ‘I thought do you know what, I’ll message him and see if he’ll do my party, he’ll never say yes… DJ Fat Tony said yeah! 

‘I will never forget this, you have made me so happy. I am your biggest fan, I love you.’ 

Alongside one video, she hinted that she might ask the star to perform at her wedding to Rami Hawash, which she is currently planning. 

She wrote: ‘So excited for you to do the wedding.’

PERSONALISED DECORATIONS

No party is complete without the incredible decorations and Gemma pulled out all the stops for her birthday as she hosted it in a very glitzy marquee.

She took to her Instagram Stories to share videos of the disco decorations, which included personalised balloons, treat carts and a sparkling photo wall.

Gemma enlisted the help of celebrity balloon artist House of Curran to decorate her marquee, and they did not fail to disappoint.

At the entrance to the marquee stood a stunning mirrored sign reading ‘Welcome to Gemma’s birthday party’, which stood on a gold stand decorated with a mini mirror ball and huge white florals.

The marquee itself was covered with small sparkling lights and boasted a light-up white dance floor, huge speakers and a small stage area.

But the statement feature was a huge shimmering silver sequinned wall surrounded with pink balloons and gold disco balls for people to take pictures in front of.

The event was also decorated with white balloons reading ‘GC’ while there was a bar area, which served cocktails including Pina Coladas, passion fruit daiquiris and Malibu and mixers.
