‘Housed in a castle on the countryside, set on a beautiful backdrop of rolling hills, the heroine and suitors will experience that with which dreams are made of.’
The heroine is Nicole Remy, a software engineer from Seattle, whose 16 suitors will attempt to win her hand during a ‘time-traveling quest for love.’

The show is sure to include balls with dancing, and everyone dressed to impress
The cast is also waited on by butlers and other staff in spiffy uniforms
The men will woo the heroine with carriage rides, archery, ballroom dancing, and hand-written love notes
Certainly the fashion from the show ill be a reason to tune in each week
‘Modern dating is not working,’ she goes on, adding that she is looking for ‘more etiquette, and being proper, and chivalry.
The camera pans to a luxurious estate with butlers, maids, and musicians, and a scene shows Nicole dancing — to ballroom numbers, not pop or hip-hop.
The stars are also seen having a garden party, enjoying a carnival, playing lawn games, and riding horses.
There also appear to be jousting lessons, a picnic, archery, and an ancient Rome-themed lawn party.
The men are also all done up to the nines in period dress.
‘You’re going to be choosing the gentleman that you want to spend the rest of your life with,’ says host Rick Edwards.

The men are all ripped out of romance novels and are also dressing the part
At one point, Nicole – wearing a hat and gloves – is riding in a boat with two men when another boatful of men paddles up. They all jump in to get her attention
There appears to be archery, though it’s unclear if it’s a competition among the men or a date
Several of them are also seen jousting on the grounds
The trailer shows Nicole getting close with several of her suitors during flirty scenes
There certainly appears to be romance and making out – though such a public display as seen here would have been scandalous in Regency England

But it’s not just Nicole they have to impress: She also has a court judging her suitors, and naturally, it’s made up of mostly her family.
Her father, Claude, her mother, Claire, her sister, Danie, and her best friend, Tessa, are also all eyeing the men.
‘I’m introducing them all to my parents right from the start,’ she says.
‘We’re here to help Nicole find men who value family,’ says her mother.
Though the show takes place in Europe, the star is from the US, as are many of her suitors — however, the men in the show come from all over the world.

It was originally named ‘Pride & Prejudice: An Experiment in Romance,’ though the name change was announced earlier this month.
While the trailer does not mention the hit Netflix series Bridgerton, it was clearly inspired by the show, which returns with its second season on March 25.
Bridgerton is set in Regency era England, which spanned from 1795 to 1837, and is based on Julia Quinn’s romance beloved novels.
The second season will follow Quinn’s second novel, which follows Lord Anthony Bridgerton’s (Jonathan Bailey) quest for love.
