Inside Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman’s £7,500 wardrobe of accessories

Never mind the cost of a ballgown – Claudia Winkleman’s fashion isn’t any less glitzy.

For the Strictly Come Dancing presenter has listed her ‘essential’ accessories this autumn – with a combined price of almost £7,500.

The 52-year-old – who is reportedly paid in excess of £300,000 for the dance show – recommended a £3,300 ring, a £2,250 Chloe bag and a £1,520 pair of boots.

She completes the list with a pair of £180 mittens and two skincare products totalling £204.50.

Writing in The Times’ high-end magazine Luxx, she joked that well-heeled readers should take their bank managers for lobster rolls ‘to make up for the endless hits on your card’.

Ms Winkleman, who is reportedly worth around £10million, added: ‘September 2024 is going to stand out. Gather yourselves… make room on the shelves (not a tiny corner please, get a cupboard built if need be); call your friends and say you’re going to need to go out more than usual as people will need to see what you’ve got.’

Top of her list was the £2,250 Chloe bag, which she described as ‘the star of the show’.

She told how she can’t do without the extra-large camera bag in ginger, saying that touching it was ‘almost a religious experience’.

Next were the £1,520 Miu Miu boots which, in her own words, ‘look as if they might have spent the night in a skip’.

But she justified the price, describing them as ‘completely magical – not too weighty and not too elegant’.

Ms Winkleman said her diamond Pebble cocktail ring from jeweller By Pariah – which costs £3,300 and comes in jet-black onyx – is ‘excellent to get us ready for Christmas’.

Adding that it is ‘particularly good on the little finger’, she wrote: ‘It’s saying ‘I’ve got places to be’ and ‘I can play the double bass’.’

There is also the pair of Max Mara ‘teddy mittens’ for £180, which are ‘soft as kittens’.

Ms Winkleman’s autumnal look would not be complete without a day cream (£99.50) and day pill (105) from the You’re Looking Well skincare range. This is because, she wrote, ‘the best accessory on earth is a plump face… with beautiful, happy pores’.

Although they may fit in with Ms Winkleman’s wardrobe, sadly many mortals will be struggling by the lobster rolls.

Eating one at the Park, the west London cafe she recommends, will set you back £22.50.
